Re: CCSVI and CCVBP

Hi Dr. Flanagan and Dania, I use compression stockings and a recumbent bike and these seem to help for the most part. Not perfect but pretty helpful. I sit in my w/c and use the bike. Dania, have had tail bone issues too. UGHH! When I was young and then last year. Had some good whacks in that area.

Re: When CCSVI fails, try AO and/or the Dentist

I went for my first treatment last week on a Cox table. By coincidence my youngest sister had started with this chiro two months ago. He’s close by, gentle and was a little skeptical as I’m in a w/c. I was worried about getting on my stomach and laying there for a treatment but with my husband nothi...

Re: I now have a theory about what happened to my wife.

DougL, Does your wife get measured while standing to see how straight she is before her adjustment? Since I am in a w/c, I am measured seated for head tilt and how straight my shoulders are with some sort of instrument before my adjustment. I held my adjustment off and on from the beginning but it t...

Re: When CCSVI fails, try AO and/or the Dentist

Rosegirl, is “Dr. Whizbang” a consultant for TMJ only and doesn’t put the braces/appliances in? From what my dentist has told me, he sees more permanent improvement with fixed devices than temporary ones. A lot of people take the removable appliance out for an hour to eat lunch and then maybe have a...

Re: When CCSVI fails, try AO and/or the Dentist

WOW Rosegirl, we really had different experiences with our dentists. My consultation was 1 ½ to 2 hours long ($200+) and quite pleasant and informative….tests and pictures included. I also received an unexpected phone call from the dentist when he got back from holidays as he had read allllll the in...

Re: Problematic Symptons getting in the way of life

Hi ranbar, Yes life with MS does suck but where there’s a will there’s a way right? My hubby’s trucks have always been too high for me to get into so I’ve always been lifted into them – I hate being picked up. We usually use our SUV which I’m also too short to get into so we “made” a portable step f...

Re: When CCSVI fails, try AO and/or the Dentist

Well done Rosegirl! TIMS has been a great place to view other people’s experiences. While I did not see any improvements with the CCSVI procedure but others did, NUCCA helped me a lot structurally and I start my dental treatment in May. My new dentist thinks along the same lines as Dr. Amir – no, th...

Ahhhhhh.......no wonder my confusion from your post.........gotcha now. Would never have taken you as the "salesman type" - not my impression of you. A lot of us tho would recommend trying AO/NUCCA.

Re: I now have a theory about what happened to my wife.

In Sept. 2010 I went for the CCSVI procedure expecting good results - there were none. In Nov. 2010 went for my first NUCCA treatment and didn't know what to expect - WOW results. Most people that saw me after this treatment were like "you look different....did you cut your hair, lose weight?&q...

Re: When CCSVI fails, try AO and/or the Dentist

Hi Rosegirl, Oh no, I didn’t go to sleep with the tissue. And I don’t have an Aqualizer, just have heard of it. The placement of the tissue moves my bottom jaw forward, thus relaxing the muscles, I guess. This sounds like I have a big overbite, but I don’t. Sorry, I mistook “reclining” as laying dow...

Re: When CCSVI fails, try AO and/or the Dentist

I am very happy for you Rosegirl! Keep with the tissue thing. I tried it the other night and my hubby laughed his head off…..but he also says “hey, if it works, go for it”. Two things tho – 1) I have to find something else similar to the tissue as I don’t like the feeling of the tissue on my teeth. ...

Re: When CCSVI fails, try AO and/or the Dentist

Rosegirl, While I have heard of the Aqualizer before, the neuromuscular dentist I had a consultation with last week didn't mention it. I do know Dr. Williams had sent a patient to him a few years ago for treatment. The neuro dentist I saw said he treats each person different and believes in the kine...

Re: I now have a theory about what happened to my wife.

Totally agree with Bubs. An AO or NUCCA chiro are practically the same – just use different techniques for your adjustment. I was very crooked too DougL. My first adjustment was a WOW moment…..big change….totally painless. Sit much straighter in my wheelchair. I held my adjustments off and on for al...

Re: Clonidine, an angioplasty alternative?

Anonymoose, I am very happy for you that clonidine is doing great things for you. Unfortunately it was not so for me. In the middle of my two year stint with baclofen in the late ‘90’s, my neuro had me take clonidine as well. WHOA! Mentally and emotionally I felt like I was going to fall off the edg...
