Re: Shoe Type and/or Insoles?
I appreciate the reply and will check out the post you mentioned. I have found that stretching does help, but have already been stretching for tightness in the calves. So, I guess I need to ramp that up some with some additional stretching of other types. I am unfamiliar with pilates, what is the pu...

Re: Aubagio... any experience?
Sorry for the slow reply.........I have never tried Milk Thistle, although it does interest me somewhat and I would be interested to here what others think about it. I have always been somewhat leery of overloading the liver with supplements, especially while taking something like Aubagio which does...

Shoe Type and/or Insoles?
Started to post this in Medical Devices, but it doesn't really fit there either so my bad if I've posted in the wrong place. I have neuropathy and poor circulation in both feet from about mid-sole through the end of my toes. This started about four months ago during one of my attacks. Since that tim...

Re: Aubagio... any experience?
On Aubagio for a year and half. Have not had a good year and a half and am about to go off Aubagio. I do not know if I am going onto another DMD or not? I was actually better prior to going on the Aubagio, but had one lingering attack and thought I needed to get on something. Since Aubagio was oral ...

Re: The shocking truth about your health: Lissa Rankin at TE
We don't usually call the conspiracy theorist ranting about big pharma keeping us sick for their profits kooks. What's the difference? One is just as believable as the other. When you have MS or your loved one has MS, you learn to think outside the box pretty quick. I choose to keep an open mind, ta...

Re: How do people cope with Multiple Sclerosis?
I don't cope with it, it copes with me! As you have heard from other post already, attitude is probably the most important thing in coping with MS. If upon diagnosis, a person resigns themselves to the condition and the so called average expected outcome then things will tend to meet those expectati...

Re: Would you agree to a DMD under these conditions?
Here here to docs not doing right by their patients by not looking at the whole person. At many mainstream, reputable, big name medical centers they are using "integrative" medicine to assist patient treatment on things from Alzheimer's to cancer. Some MS centers or docs are doing this now...

Re: Would you agree to a DMD under these conditions?
Melko321, This is one of those decisions where there is no perfect answer. But be very careful not to dismiss anything too quickly, including any of the dmd's or alternative treatments. I personally know some ms folks who have used both with varying degrees of success. If you believe just a little o...

Re: Quick question, your spasticity, what does it feel like?
silverwings, I remember one of your past post and am figuring you are still having this issue. I have replied before about what my spasticity feels like, but was wondering if you have tried any of the things discussed before like checking your magnesium or zinc levels.

Re: Insulin--Could This Be the Key?
Although I do have value for many of Bergman's idea's, I don't think going vegan will cure everyone's MS. Sorry to oversimplify, and your suggestion is not without value, but it does not apply in this instance.

Aubagio The dr says that the mri shows no new legions Afte 1 year on aubagio. However, my condition continues to worsen at what I feel is a rapid rate. Another drug I started about the same time was Norethindrone (I wanted to see if progesterone made a positive change. I gave it a hole year... It...

Re: Insulin--Could This Be the Key?
Have read this thread many times, and reviewing again today..........But I am just too fatigued to keep reading, so maybe someone can point me in the right direction. I am 5 yr. MS'er who has had a fairly easy road so far, until just recently. Worst attack ever two weeks ago and not back from the wo...

Re: aubagio with dinner
Reagan, Try it like you mentioned and see how it goes. It may work out just fine for you taking it in the evening. If that does not work, then move it to another mealtime. But, do pay attention to what you are eating at the time you take the aubagio. It may be coincidence or just in my head, but for...

Re: Aubagio
I think we all get scared at times, especially when the disease rears it's head via new or worsening symptoms. The most frustrating thing about it is not knowing if it is the disease or the drugs your taking for the disease are the culprit for the symptoms. Don't apologize for being negative, a litt...

Re: aubagio sleepy pill???
Taking Aubagio for over 5 months now. It does not make me sleepy at all. If anything, I still have trouble sleeping which is common for a lot of MS'ers. It would be interesting to know if this effect goes away or begins to subside after a few more weeks though, please post back in few weeks and let ...
