Thanks, I'm trying (and I don't know we've done a good job of this as a forum) to understand how people know (if they know) if they have a clot ... or if there's recoil ... or if there's something else. I've seen a lot of threads talking about thrombosis, but nobody has (in what I've read) had commo...

SoapDiva ...

Can you tell us, what made you suspect (if anything) John had a clot prior to returning to Dr. Sclafani ...

Symptoms of the clot at all?

Thanks,

Rick

Re: Naysayer Warning

If you are seeking balanced information on balloon venoplasty go to www.ccsvi.org and read the info many times over. Listening to the naysayers is dangerous as they appear to raise doubts by asking questions but are naysayers. Scientists know that nothing is ever proven. Balloon venoplasty for sten...

Sorry, I wasn't criticizing, per se (and never really got to finish my thought as I was late running to a meeting) ...

Anyway, now I'm off that train of though ... so carry on.

I (as admittedly into the CCSVI theory as I can figure it out) don't think it's a good idea to be throwing poor analogies, that can be easily disputed, out there. The hose analogy isn't how the jugulars work ... because it's when laying down that the hoses (jugulars) don't work in those with CCSVI. ...

Her ascending lumbars were checked and fine - you can see them in a great picture posted by Dr. Sclafani. Her renal was checked and fine. Her jugulars were checked and ballooned (obviously). Remember she had May-Thurner ... again that was checked on 2nd appointment and still fine. Her azygous, we kn...

Hopefully Cece re-finds this ... I know we're having an ongoing discussion that nobody else can follow across about 7 threads. But my wife made an interesting comment to me last night ... and it semi-relates to this. Though the conversation was a bit longer than this ... I'll give you the general hi...

I have been hearing more about McGuckin lately. "McGuckin Protocol" - what do we know about McGuckin's techniques? (I don't know anything! How distressing for me. ;) ) SammyJo, congrats that your third procedure has gone well. It is also of interest to see all the other veins named. Azygo...

What I don't understand is why he looks at INSVD ... and sees IT "circling down the toilet" ... or that he's "losing hope" Maybe he isn't looking at the stuff coming out of INSVD at all ... or at the thousands (and growing) of anecdotal reports ... Though I see he IS looki...

They did not do venograms. Venograms are the gold standard for CCSVI diagnosis! All other diagnostic methods are operator dependent. My daughter had CIS and CCSVI. Her double candy wrapper twist almost blocked her Azygos..... It was quite dramatic. Her int jugular was less pronounced and may have b...

Not just doctors ... but scientists. And now we have a standardized way of detecting and quantifying CCSVI ... So now, all those neurologist studies have a guide ... I'd be interested to see the patients they choose to study going from the neurologist led CCSVI study, right next door to a vascular/I...

HP ... where'd your post go? That was GREAT (and true) ... too bad it's gone now. How hurtful and wrong can you be Lyon? Certainly not to this degree Has anyone lost the ability to move their legs after CCSVI and still not got the ability back after 6 months. Also regain lost ability to transfer aft...

^ agree with cheer 100% ... they ain't worth it ... and nothing we say is going to change their opinion, hopefully science proves it to them before it's too late for them to do anything about it personally ... If not ... anecdotal is enough for me and you! Enjoy this beautiful day and your imp...

I will agree it - CCSVI liberation - hasn't been scientifically "proved". Nobody argues this, yet it seems to continue to get brought up ... However, you take 3,000+ people ... notice very similar patterns, in anecdotal reports --- and it IS reasonable to draw some conclusions. Personally,...
