Re: Leg Pain
Going to check on some supplements. My husband does not support their use but I think there can be something to be gained by their use. Will be checking out the magnesium and zinc. Thabks JL for the recommendation.

Leg Pain
This may be a strange symptom, but has anyone had the symptom where the cartilage(upper half of ear) is painful at times? Not real painful, just annoying at times. Also my calf muscles have been giving me fits lately and it usually happens in the evening. I took one of my husband's vicadan (that he ...

Re: Any PWMS would consider JUST having CCSVI and no RX?
1 Eye some neuros offer the option of Novantrone for spms. I think it may have cardiotoxity sissues associated with its use. I'm spms and have my struggles but I'm just a little skepital about some of the drug therapies. Had ccsvi treatment and some improvement to start with but never in the motor s...

Re: MS appears to be related to venous flow abnormality of .
Just asking what evidence exists of immune system involvement? Just want to know since I had CIS of optic neuritis followed by 14 asymptomatic years, followed by slow progression, followed by a more rapid progression starting in 2009. Symptoms all related to motor skill function. Some neuropathic pa...

Re: CCSVI and CCVBP
Dr. Flanagan I haven't posted in a while Just thought I would ask if any of patients you have treated have dealt with tinnitus? It seems to be a new synptom I'm dealing with. Sometimes it gets hard to tune it out but I try to ignore it.

New Symptom
I've been having a new symptom that's been bothersome for about the last week or two. I have been having tinnitus mostly in my right ear but sometimes both. Has this been a problem for anyone else?

Re: Updated Forum!
Still trying to get used to new format. I'm sure some of the new features are a plus but I had gotten used to the old format. Guess I'd better put on my learning cap and spend some time familiarizing myself with the new. Beginning to understand how my parents generation must have felt when they had ...

So it appears that there are those patients that were treated by Dr. Dake are seeing him for a two year follow up. Any Insurance problems? Even though Dr. Dake gave me the name of a doctor closer to where we live, my husband thinks the smart thing to do is to go back and see Dr. Dake. Sounds good to...

Chiari and MS
I have been confused about the course my MS has followed. I was first diagnosed in 1984 after the birth of my first child. Spinal fluid had O bands, evelated MBP, and IgG synthesis rate which are all MS indicators.. Unremarkable CT scan then. Followed by 14 years of being asymptomatic. Some symptoms...

Dr. Flanagan, I thought it made more sense for me to move over to this thread and I see there is some discussion of Chiari over here. Is there a NUCCA chiropractor that uses the cox 7 table in either Columbus, Valdosta, Atlanta, or Macon which are the larger towns near where we live. The Chiari One w...

So what you are saying Dr. Flanagan is that the volume of the cranium is fixed so if a patient has atrophy of the brain, csf or blood will move in to fill the space. Could that explain the recent symptom of (I don't call it true vertigo) but a kind of swimmy headed feeling from time to time. If the ...

Dr. Flanagan , Have visited the website you suggested in your post. I know my MRIs don't show any physical evidence of CM but I do struggle with some of the symptoms listed. Just wonder if Chiari0 or Chiari1 are overlooked because the diagnosing criterion is based on cerebellar tonsil herniation of ...
