Re: uric acid
Lol. No worries there. My purine intake is likely still in the low-moderate range. I like the bacon because I can just eat a little and get a good purine boost…going through a meat turns my stomach phase. Creepy big brother has been watching and gave me a “Perlmutter on uric acid” video in my YouTub...

Re: uric acid
Hi Anonymoose, I am into a normal uric acid level. It is a goldilocks level: not too high, not too low. People with MS generally have too low a level, so the question is why. This seems to have been ignored in recent years. As I said earlier, uric acid is a breakdown product of ATP. To create ATP w...

Re: uric acid
well i've clearly missed a few things here lol! i just took a look at valtrex nutrient depletion (spoiler, B12 and K2): Valacyclovir Drug Information https://wa.kaiserpermanente.org/kbase/topic.jhtml?docId=hn-1534008 Calcium, vitamin D, vitamin K2, and magnesium supplementation and skeletal health ...

Re: uric acid
Hey scott1, Yep. I’ve studied up on Valtrex too and not found a single clue as to it’s impact on calcitriol (which was lab measured high for an extended period after both vitamin d/Valtrex events). I’ve not yet found any connection to uric acid either. But you will never convince me it wasn’t hugely...

Re: uric acid
So I’ve not read this entire thread (yet) but had to woo hoo! @ you Jimmylegs. I think uric acid was at the heart of my too much vitamin d = ouch years ago. Mystery solved (maybe)! I’ve not yet found why Valtrex would magnify the uric acid lowering affect but I’m guessing it increased calcitriol far...

Re: Many syptoms, + oligoclonal bands, - MRI
I wish Jimmylegs would chime in with an expert list of nutrient levels to test.
I’ve seen several accounts of people having neuro complications post-covid or post-vaccine. They may not be common but you’re not alone.

Re: Many syptoms, + oligoclonal bands, - MRI
It always feels better when you’ve a list of things to do while you wait, doesn’t it? I’m just an expert at having MS, not in any way a medical expert but I’d recommend 1. Take magnesium (glycinate used to be the best but better may have come along) w that vitamin d (search this site for reason/dosi...

Broccoli sprouts a natural alternative to fumarates and/or intermittent fasting?
I ran into an article on my market news app (CNBC) of all places that listed broccoli sprouts as a food to ingest for immune health. It further explained the sprouts contained 10-100x the amount of sulphoraphane found in mature broccoli. Sulphoraphane is a nrf2 activator. There are some findings tha...

Happy for you! I do hope you’ll share more of the gory details (what tests, target ranges for hormone tinkering, what prescriptions, reactions to prescriptions, etc) when it all comes together.

Heya Jimmylegs, I’m glad HRT seems to be doing good things for you. I’ve been tossing around the idea of starting when the time comes myself. (Starting to feel like I might wind up one of those pregnant 70 year olds in the tabloids). Anyway, do you have to eventually stop taking HRT due to possible ...

Re: Rituximab iv and intrathecal with valtrex
Just posting a quick update. I’m still alive and doing quite well. I’ve not noticed any progression at all. If anything, I’ve experienced improvement (probably due to the purging of a chronic stressor). I likely won’t be able to continue w the iv-it rituxan protocol as my former neuro is deep into r...

Hey 1eye, Good to see your update. Your ukulele duet made me smile. Y’all should go on tour. I know appearances can be very deceiving but it looks like you’re doing really well. :) As for the blood pressure discussion, though I agree blood pressure very well could contribute to the exacerbation of m...

Re: Thiamine and cytokine storm/inflammation
The conclusion is what, Thiamine helps in other neurological diseases caused by viral infections? It should help then MSers when Epstein Barr, HHV-6a and HRV all affect to an extend MS progression and disability, am I wrong? That’s one way of looking at it. If you want to really get hypothetical, y...
