I remember (without stimulation) reading a similar article on the event, and I was certain that in the source I had read, the effects were transitory. And their working memory remained sharp for as long as the researchers continued testing it, for 50 minutes.

EBV forum?
Considering how persistent the link has been between EBV and MS, it recently occurred to me that the site does not have a specific forum on the topic. I am not suggesting I would be posting heavily in an EBV forum, but I know I have over the years read a number of articles and posts regarding it, in...

Re: Role of cerebral hypoperfusion in MS
Although the drug they tested sounds like a risky option in itself, what I do see (in the half full cup) is an opportunity to better understand the disease, and what may improve matters, by the way the drug causes its effects.

Re: FDA Warning on Stopping Gilenya
I have joined, and already received my first dose for: https://clinicaltrials.gov/ct2/show/NCT03283826
NB: the nine month washout for Gilenya has been removed, but was part of the original exclusion criteria when I first applied.

Re: Antiretroviral Drugs
I have found something similar. Depleting EBV with artificial T-cells also works, even in progressive stage. Epstein-Barr virus–specific T cell therapy for progressive multiple sclerosis https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC6302936/ see: https://www.thisisms.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=13&...

Re: FDA Warning on Stopping Gilenya
I am not suggesting or recommending anyone to do what I did, as it was simply based on my own thoughts based no scientific basis. So, I wanted to participate in a new trial, but it had a 9 month washout period for Gilenya. So, the sooner I stopped taking it, the sooner I could start the trial. I kne...

Re: Progressive MS Pipeline
Hi, The next treatment for SPMS (and also PPMS I guess) will probably be this one: https://multiplesclerosisnewstoday.com/2018/10/10/fda-ema-accept-to-review-siponimod-as-treatment-for-spms/ Expected in US in March 2019 Later (so I guess end of the year) in Europe This trial http://www.thisisms.com...

Re: Dysregulated EBV infection in MS. Old but relevant.
They know since 2007 that EBV is to blame. What are they waiting for to try antiviral therapies?? .... we interpret these findings as evidence that EBV persistence and reactivation in the CNS play an important role in MS immunopathology. One groups evidence does not constitute proof. And others hav...

If you ever need to check the science behind anything, search using google scholar, and be sure to un-check "patents"

In Australia we have "compassionate grounds" laws which allow access to unapproved treatments, and you don't need to be terminally ill to have access

Progressive (and RR) trial seeking participants - EBV based
The following trial is currently enrolling for SP, PP and RR subjects. Its based off of the work by Prof Pender regarding EBV. I know in Sydney Australia they are still looking for participants. I also know that they are willing to adjust your treatment and wait if you are excluded by your current D...
