Re: Signs/side effect of MS

Hmmm ..I've been taking a long Christmas snooze and having woken, have now perused TIMS and see a query that I need to address. Yes, Jimmy, I do take both magmesium and zinc as well as a raft of other supplements. I had been taking magnesium glycinate as well as magnesium oxide and 25mg zinc picolin...

Re: Signs/side effect of MS

Oh yes I have had that stabbing pain in my head. Only last week as a matter of fact I had it in conjunction with headaches that I got upon waking. The headache would pass and then I'd have the stabbing pain in my head/scalp at intervals throughout the day. I had that sort of thing last summer along ...

Re: acupuncture

Acupuncture got rid of horrible pain in the lumbar region of my back that I had for three years. Getting rid of that back pain was nothing short of a miracle especially since my only other short relief came from Gabapentin and Lyrica which both left me zombie-like with almost no balance and saw me g...

Re: before your diagnosis

monica, at the encouragement of friends and family I have actually written & reported him and his actions to the College of Physicians and Surgeons and they are investigating. So hopefully something positive will come of that so he doesn't pull that kind thing on anyone else.

Re: Kirsty Duncan interview on Canadian study announcement..

"Kirsty Duncan: I’m encouraged that at least a first step has been taken. Up to now we have had only announcements and no timeframe for action, no lead for the trials, so this is encouraging. I am concerned that this is not a Pan-Canadian trial in multi-centres with a large number of patient p...

Re: MS vein-opening trial announced for B.C. and Quebec

This is the neuros way of owning ccsvi as their own and cutting IR's out of the loop. Since neuros will be doing the evaluating as to efficacy, they will have the final say so. This has been their goal from the get go and was patently obvious more than two years ago. 1. Obfuscate and delay, use med...

Re: FDA has changed its tune on amalgam fillings

My holistic doctor told me my amalgams could be the sole reason I have MS. It's amazing to me the type of things they approve. It's ridiculous. I'm sick of thr gov mucking up my health. I had a naturopath tell me much the same thing but I had had all my old fillings but one removed a long time ago ...

Re: before your diagnosis

No one at all told me anything at all (altho' now I know that they knew) prior to the diagnosis (based on brain MRI with lesions). I was kept totally in the dark even though I had asked my GP if I had MS 3 years prior to my dx - to which she had simply answered "no". And then, as if that w...

well study or no study, I too have noticed a definite lift of brain fog and an increase in short term & long term memory - so I'm sticking with my daily Ginko supplement.

Re: Hope for people with SPMS???? Finally?????

Yeah well another DMD drug with what ??? - maybe a maxiumum of 30% chance of having any positive effect. I personally don't have much faith in Big Pharma as doing anything real for people with MS as I feel that their real interest is in making money for the "corporations" so finding a cure...

Re: Cover up MS is Lyme complete article

I've followed this with great interest as there is a doctor here in British columbia who said he believes doctors are misdiagnosing Lyme disease as multiple sclerosis — an inflammatory disease for which Canada has some of the highest rates in the world. http://www.squamishchief.com/article/20120524/...
