Hello Dr. S
My thoughts are with everyone who has been affected by Sandy.
When you have had to use stents; have you noticed a difference in how the vein heals if you have had to use a stent during initial treatment vs a stent placed after a vein has healed between venoplasties?
Thanks

Re: EECP enhanced external counterpulsation
thrombosis hose work in the same kind of way. Mine were $32.00 and they were required after the by-pass surgery. Thigh high and hard to put on, but it gets blood moving to your heart. Raising your feet above your heart when you lay down works well also.

Re: Two Months Post (eght weeks) Hernandez Jugular Bi-Pass
That's so great to hear. My GP is the one who is most supportive as well. I'm glad you are doing so well, it is all about blood flow.

Re: Two Months Post (eght weeks) Hernandez Jugular Bi-Pass
Glad to hear you have had an MRI, was it your GP who ordered it? I'm doing alright, the swelling in my neck has pretty much gone away, and the scar from the surgery is fading. The follow-up with the ENT specialists was good, he felt everything was healing the way it should and has ordered an U/S to ...

Re: Two Months Post (eght weeks) Hernandez Jugular Bi-Pass
I had a bypass and initially it seemed successful. I live in Canada and had problems one week after surgery with Coumadin. The incision/by-pass was oozing and I had an INR that peaked at 11.8. This resulted in a hospitl stay of 5 days to ensure my trachea was back in place, it was pushed over by 2 c...

Re: Diamox
My GP runs blood work monthly to ensure my levels are fine (I think it's the electrolites). It's important to make sure your blood pressure is alright. One other issue is that your body can get used to the amount of drug and you might have to increase the dosage.

Re: Diamox
Dr.Arata recommended Diamox to help with pressure in my brain. He was not able to open my lijv and the rijv is only open approx 20%. Diamox helps me sleep better at night and I dream. It has helped with mood and with waking during the night. This has been one of the more helpful medications.

Isn't proper blood flow a wonderful thing, funny how some Dr's just don't seem to get it.

Re: excel hospital's twitter saying their surgery is permane
There are a lot of statements (using the words permanent, only, etc) made by patients of many different treatment modes. A Dr or organization cannot be held accountable for what others are saying. Excel seems to be doing their best to eliminate the phrase and I don't think it's necessary to beat a d...
