Re: just curious

I am curious as to why you would ask this question? It seems like a challenge. Many of us do find that Copaxone works for us. Many of us cannot take or do not want to take other DMDs. I am willing to inject subcutaneously but not intra muscularly. I am not ready to try any of the newer DMDs. The few...

Re: The Dr Oz Effect

I think people like Dr. Oz because he will at least discuss alternative therapies. Most doctors will only go with FDA approved whatever (drugs, devices etc). Oz will look into other ways of treating patients. You are right, his show is entertainment. However, there is some value in his exposing new ...

Re: Excellent Medicinal Cannabis Resource

Florida has Amendment 2 on the ballot (voting today) for medical marijuana. It has to pass a 60% threshold. It is looking positive but won't know for sure until all the votes are counted. Fingers crossed...

Re: The Trouble with Antibiotics

Here is how I looked at it when I was debating whether to start the antibiotic protocol: I KNEW that I had MS and I KNEW that it was worsening. I also knew that there could be a risk of resistance with antibiotic use. So I weighed the pros/cons and concluded that the chance of developing antibiotic ...

Re: My bf's got ms for 14 years!! Any tips please!!

I look at this differently-and this may sound blunt and perhaps harsh. But if you are having this much difficulty in deciding what to do then I think you already know the answer. Marriage (if that is what you want) is a commitment for better or worse. You are worrying about all the negatives, forget...

Re: Skipping a Shot Once a Week

I skip a shot often. Probably average once every week to 10 days. I agree-when you skip a shot once a week when doing daily injections you are receiving the same amount as the new 40 ml. / 3 times a week. So to me it is the same. I think if you are having a relapse it most likely doesn't have anythi...

Re: Lower Back Pain Qnd Restricted Movement?

I have experience lower back pain for almost 2 years now. I see a chiropractor regularly and the adjustments have made the pain almost non-existent. I swear by chiropractic treatment-as long as you find a really good one who understands the body.

Re: Copaxone at 40 ml

I switched to the 40 mg about 5 months ago and am switching back to 20mg which I had been on for almost 2 years without any issues. The biggest issue was surely the injection pain and site reaction. I didn't have these issues with the 20mg, once I got used to taking them. I was to the point where m...

Re: Copaxone at 40 mg

Thank you Cheer, When I saw the neuro at Vanderbilt on my yearly check up he offered Copaxone 40 ml. I declined and told him I wanted to stay on 20 ml. I also see a local neuro with whom I just made an appointment for my yearly check up with her. Her nurse told me that she was switching all Copaxone...

Re: The Wheldon Protocol, Some Advice, Please...

Craig My advice: 1) start the diary now. You are in this for the long haul. In the future you can then reference back. 2) this is a two steps forward, one step back process. Even though we'd all like to see forward progress all the time it doesn't happen. Some days are just better than others. 3) do...

Re: Lipoatrophy occurrence for MS patients using Copaxone...

I was not one of the 73 patients studied. However, I can attest that lipoatrophy is a significant side effect. I would still choose Copaxone knowing what I know but for Teva to dismiss it as minor is misleading and wrong.
