What CCSVI treatment have you had and what results? It is probably elsewhere in TIMS but I am not as good as Cece in finding that stuff.

Re: MS is multifactorial

I totally disagree with Fogdweller: "Idea ... lets ignore MS and focus on circulation". To take this approach you have to: - Ignore the available evidence on MS - Ignore Prof Zamboni's statement that MS is multifactorial - Agree with MS experts/most neuros/naysyers who say CCSVI liberatio...

Re: Idea ... lets ignore MS and focus on circulation

From the moment Zamboni theorized in public that stenoses causes MS, the two were inexorably linked. How much simpler things would be if Zamboni had just said he found a circulation disorder that mimics the symptoms of MS. It is a good idea, fogdweller, but I am afraid that ship has already sailed....

Dr. Dake's study is focusing on the endpoint of if CCSVI venoplasty improves flow. I am predicting that it does. Cece, do you have a link to Dr. Dake's protocol? Of course, Ins. co.s can still say that ewe need to prove that improved flow is beneficial somehow. That is not as obvious to insurance c...

Idea ... lets ignore MS and focus on circulation

It has always seemed to me that inadequate drainage of my brain was worth fixing, whether or not it cured my MS. May helped things I was suffering that have always been blamed on MS but could as easily be blamed on inadequate vascularization. If we focus on improving circulation, we can get a good e...

My daughter was diagnosed with MS Aug 2010, and was sent home with 2 literal backpacks of promotional literature from the MS drug companies each vying for her decision to " pick them", mugs, scarves, folios, diary books, calendars, etc. She was asked by her neurologist to "pick"...

Hmm. I was hoping that the lack of need for continued drug therapy would provide an argument that the insurance companies could save money in the long run by paying for the angioplasty, but it doesn't sound like anyone is deciding not to use DMDs becuse the angioplasty made them unnecessary. The rea...

Who has had angioplasty and stopped drug treatment?

I am curious if anyone who has had angioplasty has stopped taking DMDs? I know Zamboni and others advises continuing to take them, but I was wondering if some pwMS fet didn't nned them anymore. If so this would be very powerful evidence to give insurance companies. Those drugs are very expensive, ar...

fogdweller, what you have gone through. Hope you're handling it ok. I can't imagine the frustration. I am still going down Friday for a Zamboni protocol ultra-sound. Finally. My first post-procedure look-see at my jugulars to see what we shall see. Out of my own pocket, unfortuantely. If it looks b...

I have Anthem Blue Cross of California. They pre-approved my follow-up treatment (I already had the original angioplasty, paid out of pocket, and after considerable work on my part they paid me back a few hundred dollars). When I was about to leave home for an 11 hour drive to San Diego for treatmen...

In Zamboni's theory, it's not free iron deposits in the brain that is the main culprit, is it? It is red blood cells that get through the leaky endothelium. These break down into hemosiderin. I am personally partial to what was presented at ISNVD on the hypoxia of axons early in the course of MS, t...

Long before I ever heard of CCSVI, I found out that donating whole blood really helped with fatigue-why I don't know. Just that I felt better. Same with many other supplements; a wide range of results. I am not sure why whole blood donation might help. Supplements might make sense, some chelation g...

I really think it is important that people of all descriptions understand this. The jugulars of a normal person provide extra low-pressure drainage for the brain when they are horizontal. When you are upright, your jugulars are not as necessary. Still useable, but mostly collapsed, because gravity ...

a.m. or p.m. symptoms and locating stenosis?

This is a very simplistic thought; now that we have had a large number of us that have recieved diagnosis I am curious if there might be some poissible correlation: I have very very sever symptoms in the morning or if I get up during the night. I can't stand well, can't walk easily, and need to be v...
