PPMS v. SPMS v. RRMS

Can someone please define the criteria used to differentiate between these forms? I see Zamboni said that PPMS didn't respond so well to CCSVI treatment. I have never been given a firm dx, just progressing downhill for many years, but I did have just one attack which took me off my legs until predni...

PPMS / SPMS or what?

I've been dx since the mid '80's, but have not been told what sort. I've presumed it is PPMS as it has been a gradual downhill struggle. MRI's were not commonly available at the beginning, in the late '70's. About 2002 a neuro offered me an MRI, but there didn't seem any advantage so I declined. He ...

MS type? Steroid benefit

PPMS liberation experiences

As there are fewer of us PPMSers it seems to me important that those who have already had treatment should post their experiences over the long term, as, despite Zamboni not being very encouraging about the treatment on PPMSers, there are some such folk who have and are making progress. We need to h...

GLASGOW Rutherglen HERE WE COME. UK's first CCSVI clinic.

Bookings for scans and follow up are full for July and August 2010. Essential Health Clinic is now taking bookings for the next tranche. My ref. number is over 700, and it took me six hours online to achieve that as the site kept crashing due to overload of enquiries.

Progress

Badger, it's great to read of your continuing improvements!
It would be good for us to be reminded of how you were before going to Poland, compared to now.

Pros and cons?

It is good to read of the improvements in folk's conditions resulting from the Liberation treatment in Poland - and elsewhere - but I wonder if there is a downside to all this. Are there people who have been through this treatment who are NOT experiencing positive results? I have a sceptical wife to...

Eyewitness account

Could we plese have some detailed feedback / blow by blow account of events from arriving to departing from Katowice, Poland, to help ease the minds of those yet to embark on this venture? I, for example, am wholly wheelchair dependant, so it really matters.
