Dr Sclafani.... Sorry, I meant Dr Haskal performed both procedures not you. I saw my neuro today, and he ordered an intracranial MRV for me because my left stent is completely occluded with scar tissue. When I asked him why, he said that this occlusion/scarring could cause damage higher up in the br...

It is interesting to me that collagen III is found in scar tissue. Last week I found out, much to my dismay, that the stent in my left IJV is completely occluded by scar tissue. I wonder if that means that the collagen at that location is/was collagen III. Dr Haskal told me that scarring can occur a...

Cece... Dr Haskal told me that scarring may occur due to any stent placed anywhere. It happens often at the ends of the stent. I asked this question in Dr Sclafani's thread and he has not replied yet. I know that the only way that the cause of stent occlusion is by an IR going in and looking. Carol ...

I recently (March 16) had my second CCSVI treatment by Dr Ziv Haskal. He discovered that the stent in my left IJV is completely occluded with SCAR TISSUE. He said that scarring and stents is not uncommon. A doctor cannot tell from any kind of imaging what the nature of an obstruction is, whether it ...

Dr Sclafani... I had my second CCSVI procedure by Dr Haskal in Baltimore 3 days ago (I live in St Louis). Right IJV stent and azygos look A-OK. However the stent in my left IJV is completely occluded by scar tissue. Dr Haskal told me that scarring in/around stents is not uncommon. Of course my subje...

In my case it is the IJV on my left side. Dr Haskal said that the scar tissue can be too hard to drill with a diamond tipped drill. UGH. I am imagining that any future work on that vein will probably be open surgery. But I really don't know. Dr Haskal is still doubtful that a blood thinner will help...

occluded stents - again
I had my second CCSVI procedure in Baltimore by Dr Haskal last Wednesday March 16. The major reason was concern about my left IJV that was shown to be about 80% occluded by a local IR via ultrasound. The good news is that my azyos and right IJV stent look good. Dr Haskal also discovered more narrowi...

I also was told that a paper will be published from BNAC in March. In what journal I don't know either. It will be fun to have a paper to pick apart word by word. Since I am an Apple fan, I keep looking for information on the new iPad and all I find is rumors rumors and rumors. Well now they have an...

It would be a logical fallacy to state that if A causes (or is associated with) B then A must cause B. CCSVI may indeed be discovered in people without MS. It must first be established that MS is associated with CCSVI and then (maybe) that MS is caused by (or partially by) CCSVI and then perhaps eno...

As to accuracy of testing at BNAC... I was tested there and they only found stenosis in my right IJV. Dr Haskal during my procedure and using IVUS discovered that my left IJV was also occluded (and maybe worse than my right). Plus he discovered that my azygous is twisted. I am a BNAC fan, but I ques...
