Cece.... Dr Dake's interpretation may also be true. I wish I knew. I know that BNAC really went out on a limb to investigate CCSVI. I know they were afraid of being the laughingstock and mocked by other neurologists and researchers for doing this. Now they are being mocked by patients. And no doubt ...

Cece, You asked if the pain started right after the procedure. It wasn't right after. The day after the procedure we drove home from Baltimore to St Louis. Things seemed OK. But after I got home the headaches started. I also had the return of my burning mouth (ugh!!!!). My tongue feels like it is co...

Thanks for all your suggestions !! Everyone who has had bad headaches can understand. I am taking Vicodin and/or Fioricet and Xanax (yep, I'm addicted) for my pain and distress. My St Louis IR (who is tremendous BTW) is absolutely wonderful, but I can only talk to his nurse/assistant. The June appoi...

I am not as pessimistic as many people are about the BNAC results. The correlation between CCSVI and MS is clearly demonstrated. The conclusion from the data that CCSVI is not the cause of MS must be made however. If the data are wrong then there must be another blinded control study to prove that. ...

From my own personal experience I would advise any newbie to go for the angioplasty first and stay away from stents, or wait until more is known about the CCSVI procedures in general. By waiting a year or more, the doctors' experience with the procedure will grow and maybe there will be new techniqu...
