Vitamin D suppresses TH17 activity.

what's with wheat
I just watched this on Netflix the other night - pretty interesting film. Dr Terry Wahls has a big part in it. If you can believe everything in this film, you'll never eat gluten again!

Do it yourself lymph drainage
I don't know if this will help CCSVI issues, but it may be worth trying.

Re: Help! Recently diagnosed. Now what?
Recommending 5000-10,000 of D3 is certainly not irresponsible. Yes, it's great to try and have a healthy intake of zinc, B vitamins, and particularly magnesium with MS, taking 10,000 units of D a day is in no way dangerous. My wife is being treated by Dr Michael Holick, one of the world's most respe...

Re: Help! Recently diagnosed. Now what?
Sorry to hear about your dx, but it's not the end of the world. First off, find out what kind of MS you have. RRMS is the most common, but SPMS and PPMS are also possible, depending on your symptoms. A no brainer is to immediately start taking vitamin D3 in fairly large doses (5000-10000 a day). Lot...

LDN does not help everyone. Also look at Dr Coimbra's vitamin D treatment, and MedDay's biotin treatment.

Re: Vitamin D and MS
There is a wealth of information as well as a book on the Dr Coimbra protocol. Currently, there are no neuros in the US who will work with this protocol (there are over 30 in South America and Europe). However, there are two docs in Florida who are Dr Coimbra trained, and are prescribing the protoco...

Re: Question about treatment without MRI info.
here's my 2 cents (I'm not a doctor) - my wife has what seems to be a very slow moving case of PPMS. She had about 4 MRI's about 6-7 years ago. They were always the same - no active lesions. Her neuro wanted to give her copaxone. She didn't want it, and hasn't had an MRI since - what's the point of ...

Re: Stem Cells, Ocrelizumab, anything else on the horizon?
Lots of non-mainstream things to consider: Biotin (particularly for ppms), Dr Coimbra's vitamin D protocol, and CCSVI. There are several facebook pages for each of these.

Re: Organic or non-organic food?
I wouldn't loose too much sleep worrying about pesticides in organic veggies and fruits. I believe the ones used on organics are fairly harmless ones like BT (a caterpillar killing bacteria). From what I understand the worst non organic foods as far as pesticides are strawberries, apples, peaches, c...

Re: RESTEMCELL M.S PATIENTS LEAD NORMAL LIFE THANKS TO aHSCT
the HSCT seems to be effective in many but not all cases. It's a pretty major treatment involving chemo. You might want to first look at other promising but not yet mainstream treatments like Dr Coimbra's vitamin D protocol, Med-Day's biotin regimen, and Dr Zamboni's CCSVI treatment.

Re: Liposomal D3
I'm not convinced. Vitamin D3 gel caps are very inexpensive, easy to take and have been proven to raise vitamin D levels in the blood. The vitamin D absorption process in the body is very complex, I'm not sure if liposomal is going to make any difference in the long run. Dr Mercola has a lot of good...

I don't think it all has to be water - tea, juice, etc also counts.
