Re: Notes from CureIous' at Stanford
Just heard from CureIous' good friend Don who tells me that he left Op Prep at 4:30pm the op will be roughly 2hrs and recovery about 3hrs. He will be getting double jugs way up high and another set by the shoulder. In loving memory of Holly. It's been five years ago today. My buddy drove me up ther...

Re: Long term results
Well if Rhonda posts... In a few weeks, I am renting an RV for the family. We are going on a vacation that I paid for, having worked 408 hours in a little over a month. That being in industrial construction, where faking it just doesn't make it. That is a far cry from where we were back in 2009, and...

Re: Need two volunteers for a study in So Cal.
Thanks CureIous, this is all good news. I'm following your thread and I really appreciate the updates. And I hope you're well. Well thanks. So busy I met myself coming in the other day. Kids schooling keeps one busy, until summer hits and you realize that was the easy part ;). Anyways, hope to get ...

Re: Why does CCSVI treatment help?
(Did I really just type all this on my phone?) Fantastic question, great answers, so much more than was known 5 years ago. And so many more additional questions which open even more windows into this thing called the human body. Just when we think we've got it... Keep in mind also, that MS, and espe...

Re: RESERCHERES REPORT ALTERNATIVE EXPLANATIONS FOR CCSVI
Divide and conquer? Why not use the existing FDA-approved treatment. And why is the FDA-approved treatment not offered to MS patients? Because after a doctor-determined interval you are said to have "converted", and are no longer worth the money because treatment might fail. Let's face it...

Re: Need two volunteers for a study in So Cal.
Dr. is currently treating patient number 3, just wanted to mention. I'm trying to get a local in as number 4 though that's more pipe dream right now than anything. For a non-venoplasty procedure, I'd say ANY results are good. But we could still use a few more I think. Either way, both patients (who ...

There is already an FDA approved treatment for vagal stimulation--utilizing an implanted electrical stimulator in the neck. http://www.mayoclinic.org/tests-procedures/vagus-nerve-stimulation/basics/definition/prc-20020476 I'm concerned that this one time bump into the vagus nerve is not enough just...

Re: TOS question
Thanks for the replies. I have plenty to munch on but no time to digest at all. On a 7 days 13 hour shifts with 4 hours of commute time. I.e. time is more valuable than money right now, plus they made me supervision. (Thanks Dr. Dake!). Point being I am very very excited and anxious to help this lad...

TOS question
Haven't read up too much on it, but have a friend that was dx'd with a TOS variant involving subclavian vein compression from the costoclavicular ligament which lies between the first rib and clavicle. Myriad of CCSVI type symptoms and even into the spinal column. From what I've read it is correctab...

Re: Need two volunteers for a study in So Cal.
Doing great! Working 7 days on an historic project in El Segundo, night shift at that. Never felt better. Hopefully the media will be here too. Very fortunate to be here. Once in a lifetime moment. Would never have been possible without fixing them veins. We'll be done here by the end of the month t...

Sorry you were caught in that dragnet. Reprehensible and you are definitely not alone. I believe I met some of the AZ Doppler gang at that symposium down in San Diego a few years back. Good bunch. Glad it worked out but sorry you had to go the circuitous route. Some Doctors are a shame to their prof...

Re: Long term results
All good questions to ask prior to seeking treatment. Those of us with stents seem to have garnered the most consistent, longest lasting results. Obviously we may infer that is due to our veins remaining open, though there is never a guarantee (nor refund for that matter). Therein lies the rub to th...

I suppose it goes without saying though I didn't mention it in the last post, his location is Southern California, specifically the Corona area should travel area factor in.

Re: Need two volunteers for a study in So Cal.
My goodness has it been since November since posting to this thread? Time flies. First of all to update as to both of the volunteer's status: 1st patient, spoke with his wife at length this morning, he remains stable per the last update. Stable is always good. Veins remain open. 2nd patient, have no...

Re: Is this the beginning of the end for Big Pharma?
If consumers knew just how badly the pharms were ripping them off, via medicare, insurance costs, and out of pocket, all in the name of pleasing shareholders, there would be riots in the streets. Anything that pisses off a pharmaceutical company is fine by me. Considering that a majority of the garb...
