Agreeing with Jean. I don't think there are "true auto-immune diseases". I think there is not enough understanding. We, the humans (especially in some medical profession circles  ), decided that we are smarter than millions of years of evolution and if there is something our body doin...

All is off. Underwear included. A humbling procedure. Yes Indeed! Not only is all off, but one is shaved where one would rather not be shaved, both males and females. Good point. One might choose to do some shaving him/herself, because some nurses are far from being "gentile" when doing s...

Could you please elaborate some more on "pancaking?" Basically (again, my understanding based on the files) is akin to taking your "hose" and squishing it downwards, so it is not a straight tube, but a tube with "flattened out" portions. This was not a major problem th...

NotFound, I'm going in for a follow-up visit at 6 mos. I don't know if Dr Arata will do MRV, US, or just a consult. That's why I was wondering how the "no restenosis" claim was being made. If it's just based on maintenance of improvements, I can back them up. See, nothing was ever said to...

That's an excellent point. I'll have to try to figure out how to approach this.

I am not sure how I would be able to tell.

From what I understood there is no "follow up" as we know it, unless we choose to undergo venography again.

Unless one can estimate by disappearance / reappearance of symptoms, but that is if one HAD change in symptoms (I didn't. Yet?)

I guess it also depends on the nature of stenosis.

Mine was twisted about itself (>90% occlusion) and re-twisted right back after several ballooning attempts.

What's not found by some is found by others

In May 2010 I was told by Polish doctors that no CCSVI was found in my case. Having strong doubts I sent the very MRV images they did to Dr. H 3 months after, Dr. H kindly (may I repeat, this was VERY kind of him) sent me the analysis of my images. I wrote about it before - "pancaking" of ...

not found, so did you get the procedure done now that they did find the pinched azygous? Not yet. In line :) Possibility of re-stenosis scares the crap out of me, I can only imagine how you and Burg feel. I am going back and forth - "I should ask for the stent! I don't want to restenose!"...

What a story Onesickrace! I will start from the end of your story: from what I read and from my own experience (I've been venographied in Poland in May this year)- doctors in Poland are either overly cautious or not skilled enough in treating Azygous. As my user name can tell you - no stenosis was f...

Re: hypoplasia of the IJV

it would be interesting to see what that hypoplasia actually looked like before assuming that there is agreement on hypoplasia. Wouldn't that be rather hard to do Doctor? Hypoplasia as I understand, refers to an inadequate number of cells. Which, it turn, results in the underdevelopment of an organ...
