before I was diagnosed with MS though, I did drink A LOT of diet soda. I hardly drink any now, but I do have it from time to time. Haven't you posted lately that you don't have any symptoms? If so, maybe your "MS" was really caused by the aspertame in diet sodas. Symptoms go away when a p...
I was told by the administrators of the program in revenue works best on early to mid-stage RRMS, and that they are finding that patients with more advanced SPMS, or PPMS do not respond as well, if at all.
This is a quote from marcstck posted on April 4, 2008 which i...

Another thing to remember is that a person needs to try anything that works while still in the RRMS stage. Once you progress to SPMS (without relapses), there is nothing for you to take and your future is a steady downhill course. gwa, I know you think that it's been proven and the writing is on th...

Bob, I saw my wife's aunt who has had MS for a very long time yesterday. For probably the last 15 years she has seemed exactly the same. She uses a walker, but has always gotten around with it fairly well all things considered. You can tell she absolutely needs it, but she could always do a whole l...

Can I ask for those of you who are, or were, on amantadine, do you notice any negative side-effects? I am tempted to take it once more and to give it 6 months this time.... After taking it for three days, I woke up on the fourth morning and my legs were so weak that I literally had to crawl to the ...

Sorry for getting a tad cynical. You are correct. Getting awareness about MS out there is a very good thing. I just hate the bs that goes along with political campaigns. Although I am right-leaning in my politics, I am very aware that both sides promise and say dumb things to get elected. Of course...

I just feel the need to do everything that I can to stay on my feet. If you've experienced some 'real MS' and someone puts up a potential opportunity for a better than average chance at recovery, it really doesn't matter what the stats are. To me anyway. I would do the exact same thing as your are ...

One thing about liver transplants is that just a small piece of someone's liver will grow into a complete liver when transplanted into another person. At least livers don't have to be taken out of a dead donor's body. This sounds fascinating, especially since most of us will have relatives willing t...

This is the same thing my neuro told me when he gave me a script for the drug. It made me weaker than before I took it, so I am one of the 66% that do not do well on it.
