Re: Embry: Actual data from PREMiSe suggests CCSVI is of val

Based on the graph on page 6 of http://www.direct-ms.org/sites/default/%20...%20202013.pdf I'd say Ashton Embry is right. You mean he's right in general? Or on some specific point? His paper makes a lot of claims, some I agree with, but many of which I don't. I do agree that the ineffectiveness of ...

Re: Embry: Actual data from PREMiSe suggests CCSVI is of val

One outcome of using data from sources such as this, is that it seems, because of occasional positive results, that these trials are fair, and that nothing should be made of any conflicts of interest. This is not true. In cases where there is even an appearance of conflict, the evidence is of no va...

Re: Fluoride

Each area decides for itself wheither to dump this poison in the water. The fluoride they are dumping in the water is not the sodium fluoride found in nature but the hazardous waste fo the fertillizer industry. It seems to be better for industry to dump this in our water than spend money to dispose...

Re: How do you change careers and keep health insurance?

If you're in the US and have had continuous group health insurance through your employer for the past six months, then you can change jobs and the new employer's insurance has to waive their preexisting condition clauses. In other words, once you have employer provided health care, then you can chan...

Re: Fluoride

I googled fluoride but couldn't find any actual studies showing fluoride prevents tooth decay. It seems you're not doing it right. Don't just google "fluoride", but instead try searching for something more direct, like "studies showing fluoride prevents tooth decay", or going to...

I'll second the other poster's comment that you really should look beyond Osteopathy for proper diagnosis and treatment of whatever is going on. Given your symptoms and family history of MS, you should get yourself to a neurologist who has specific experience treating MS, and get them to run the app...

Open minds needed

Nope I got it. Any studies not showing positive results are flawed. Pretty simple concept. If you genuinely believe that, you must not think much of us. Well, scorpion is accurately summarizing frodo's statement: At this point I think we can consider the results of Zivadinov the correct results and...

Scorpion was right on the money

Not to rile you but there is lots of recent info about a supressed cancer cure...due to that pharma group we lump in with evil doers. http://www.arbitragemagazine.com/topics/science-technology/cancer-3dca-4world-7debut/ This is a great example of the "danger" of getting your news from the...

Cochrane review could go either way

While they might just be fronts for the nay-sayers, I think the Cochrane review is highly regarded, and it is unlikely that they would be interested in meta-analysis of things anyone seriously thinks don't exist. I suppose anything is possible but I doubt it. Actually, Cochrane has reviewed a lot o...

What's the deal with these newest published studies. This is the second recent study where the researchers didn't find ANY problems at all with the MS group! Isn't not finding something 100% of the time just as unbelievable as finding something 100% of the time? No, they're not the same. For exampl...

No problems for me

Not sure if your question is still relevant, but just noticed it and thought I'd reply. I've been getting allergy injections for about 40 years. I've been giving myself Copaxone injections for almost 2 years. So far, they've gone fine together. I should note that I don't use my arms for Copaxone inj...

Re: It's not so easy

Nothing to lose? Last time I looked into helminthic therapy, I was put off by the price and legal situation. I'm in the US, and as I recall it's $2500 or more to buy worms, plus the challenge and costs of traveling to a different country to actually receive the helminths. On top of that, it is an u...

It's not so easy

Sounds pretty amazing. I am surprised other MS patients aren't trying it en masse. After all, there is almost nothing to lose and everything to gain. Nothing to lose? Last time I looked into helminthic therapy, I was put off by the price and legal situation. I'm in the US, and as I recall it's $250...

I would like to have the tests done just for my own peace of mind... Nothing wrong with that. I had a few extra tests of my own when I first started treatment, just in case there was some easy fix. There's definitely some comfort in knowing you're doing something . Scut I thank you for your respons...

Correlation does not imply causality

... My view at this point is that CCSVI is associated with MS; however it is yet to be determined whether CCSVI is among the risk factors that, along with others, increase a person’s susceptibility to developing this disease. The fact that CCSVI prevalence is about 38% in patients with a first clin...
