Re: Investigation launched after Ocrevus patient develops PM

On Tsybari for years, switch to ocrevus and got PML a couple days later. I'm guessing it has nothing to do with the new med.

Re: Ocrevus questions

First dose yesterday, prescribed almost 6 months ago. I apparently fell through the cracks with the Dr. office and calling every couple weeks wasn't enough to get out of the cracks. Anyway, big downer having to go to a cancer infusion site to get this done but that's personal. I keep this entire thi...

Re: RE; MEDDAYS'S PHASE3 TRAIL AND BELIEF IN BIOTINS POTENTI

Biotin is cheap and you can order it. Insurance won't cover it anyway, but $100 worth of the pure stuff will last you over a year at the 300mg dosage. Hello, Sorry but I disagree. There was a debate about the different biotin sources: http://www.thisisms.com/forum/biotin-qizenday-cerenday-md1003-f5...

I'm sure it will help the mice. It must be awesome to be a lab mouse, everything cures you.

Re: Thyroid pre-MS and Campath

I've been on thyroid replacement since I was 25. My current Dr made me go through a nuke scan which shows that I have almost no thyroid anymore, and what is there doesn't do much. I don't know if the autoimmunity killed the gland or it's always just been tiny. But what little it does produce I might...

Re: Lemtrada decision

FWIW I've been asking for Lemtrada since I was diagnosed. Specialist I was seeing was involved in the trials and said I'd be a perfect candidate, if I had been referred to her a month earlier. But it was closed so I was SOL. After that it has been "You're not bad enough to take it", over a...

Re: 1st followup since dx

Back again, been a while. So i went back on the regimin and everything was normal for the routine. Several months ago though i just started feeling bad, day to day just horrible and the pukses were just brutal. It was hard to deal with day to day life, all i wanted to do was lay down and be miseable...

Re: Doing well after antibiotic treatment

You can order your own antibiotics, no DR required. I started ordering shortly after diagnosis, it was only after I told my regular Dr that I was taking them regardless that he started writing prescriptions. He's a nice guy and a good Dr but this is a bit off the beaten path. I was hesitant original...

Re: Aubagio ‘associated with reduced disability progression.

The aubagio website shows a difference between taking the drug, and placebo is at best 10%. You just have to get past the BIG BIG numbers saying that 72% of patients on aubagio didn't relapse. It's the smaller text that says 62% on placebo were relapse free. I'm of the opinion that 10% isn't statist...

Re: 1st followup since dx

Back again for some quick notes. The Jan pulse went easy, barely noticeable. But I was feeling so bad right before it might have just been unnoticeable in comparison. "Sure you can call that a beating, but let me tell you about the beating I took before!". Just finished Feb a few d...

Re: 1st followup since dx

Ive intentionally forced myself to stop reading on this until today, trying to give my brain some time off. But unless I'm working, I'm worrying so that worked well. Anyway, after the neoro visit, every morning if i felt like my blood sugar was dropping id work into a mild panic. After a couple days...

Re: 1st followup since dx

May have had my first relapse day before yesterday. I'd been feeling a little odd for a couple days mainly in the mornings. I was at the office and felt like my blood sugar had bottomed out. I'm not diabetic or anything but every now and then it happens and has as far back as I can remember. And it ...

Re: 1st followup since dx

Thinking about it makes me nauseous. Having someone mess with my teeth has always been a 'button'. My years long stint of lidocaine and novocaine not working on me and having dental work, stitches and a spinal tap done without painkiller pushes my anxiety levels off the charts even for a cleaning. I...

Re: The biotin trial results are out

Don't see a reason to be concerned if it's mostly dissolved, totally, or not at all. In pill form, it's not dissolved at all when you take it. It just whether or not its in your body that's important. Being 'water soluble' basically is just important in that it doesn't store in your body fat like ot...
