Re: Aubagio

I have been taking the Aubagio for a little over 5 months now, and so far have not had symptoms anywhere near as bad as you describe. Although everyone responds differently, my worst symptoms were experienced within the first couple of weeks. What I eventually figured out for myself through trial an...

Re: MS: The Rigidity Disease

Vesta, very interesting post. Thank you for sharing your thoughts once again. I can relate to most of your thoughts on rigidity. My massage appointment is scheduled for today at 2p.m........and I have often wondered if I could afford to have massage every day what my symptoms may be like? If my insu...

Re: Aubagio

Wow Kaalo, you have been through the DMD ringer with all the different meds. Sorry that you have not found one more tolerable yet, but I would still say it is too early to give up on the Aubagio. If you have only taken the med at night, maybe try taking it early in the morning. Regardless of time of...

Re: Aubagio

On 14mg Aubagio for one week now. I am feeling completely exhausted and run down. Anyone else like this? Are you still having problems with this? I just started 8 days ago and I'm hoping it passes? I am so dopey and tired I just don't know if I can keep this up. I am a little over four months into ...

Re: Spasticity question....

No authority here, but speaking from personal experience I would say yes this is spasticity. I get similiar muscle twitches in all sorts of odd places.........When I was first dx'd, I asked my neuro about these, and they would say it was not MS. I have come to the conclusion that unless I am having...

Re: IBS

slov, Have you ever taken or are currently taking proton pump inhibitors? I did for too many years and it really messed me up. Of course now, the medical and pharma community suggest only taking these for up to two weeks but many still prescribe long term. I did get off of the PPI's after going glut...

Re: Aubagio

Hey Thanks Standing Tall I will be starting this new med soon. Side effects can't be any worse that I had when I started Avonex. Have you started the new med yet? How is it going? Would like to hear some updates from Aubagio folks. I am around week 11, although I have not been feeling great lately....

Re: Omeprazole - If you are experiencing an increas in sympt

Everyone, get off any of the PPI's if you are taking them. My gastroenterologist had me taking two a day for seven years, prilosec and then prevacid for acid reflux and the resulting barret's esophagus the reflux caused. Shortly after DX's of MS, I broke my back in the act of doing practically nothi...

Re: Most badass thing you have done despite MS?

I went to fist city with someone half my age. Had not been in a fight in almost twenty years, and hope never to do so again. But they were the agressor and I was just defending myself and somehow along the way got credit for winning a fight. In hindsight, I just wish the person knew who they really ...

Re: Sinus congestion, ear plugged, pressure in cheek

This is interesting. Sinus surgery to alleviate chronic sinus infection is what led to my first MS attack. Although I did not know it was MS at the time. Two months after the surgery I had an MRI showing multiple lesions.........diagnosis of optic neuritis/MS. I have always wondered if I had not had...

Re: Aubagio

Hey kzombeck. Although I have only been on Aubagio for 6 weeks, it has not been bad at all. As I mentioned in earlier post, I did have some nausea after taking the daily dose. That symptom lasted for about two weeks, and now I do not have any side effects or symptoms from the medication. Overall, my...

Re: Whats my problem?

Hang in there Chikku. Sound like you have had a rough time. Hopefully you do not have MS, or anything else for that matter. Doctors can really send you around in circles for a long time. I have just one suggestion for you, see an infectious disease specialist to eliminate anything along those lines ...

I will post on the regimen and how I got to that point as soon as I have time. I know you like details and bloodwork results, so I'll compact it all into a summary soon. But, I can already tell you that it won't be anything you don't already know as a lot of the info came from you to start with! Tha...

Re: Copaxone with Acthar Gel?

I did take Copaxone for over two years, but recently switched to Aubagio. I have taken Acthar Gel three times in almost three years. Steroid infusion was terrible for me, and my Doc suggested trying Acthar. Acthar works very well for me, and I almost wish I could take it more often. But, I do not du...
