Re: Melatonin could help treat multiple sclerosis

Perhaps poorly worded, but they're stating that the "rest of the year" is when melatonin levels dip.

If Squeakycat is still out there and following this, is there any news on the "Calcitriol + D" front?

Re: Vitamin K..how much?

In case you haven't heard of her, I suggest googling Dr. Kate Rheaume-Bleue. She discusses the benefits of K2 (not really available from greens), the distinction from K1 on blood coagulation, the differences in the sub-types of K2 (MK4, MK7, etc.), and its association with calcium absorption and dis...

Re: 20th day on LDN and...

Dear Annbbe; You seem to connect your feeling worse with the use of LDN, and you're statement that you're still on "just 1.5 mg" seems to suggest that you believe a higher dose will of necessity produce a more pronounced ill effect. This is not the standard with LDN. It is more likely that...

Kefir may be a better source for good bacteria, having a greater variety of bacteria, some of which are able to colonize the gut.

Re: Back to say goodbye

To Wondering; I joined this site in August of 2013 on behalf of my adult son, who was diagnosed with MS in January of 2013 after experiencing MS-like symptoms for the first time in Nov/Dec of 2012. After considerable research, he and I became, for lack of a better word, "suspicious" that R...

Re: New research- UV rays, nitric oxide and MS symptom relie

Avoiding a tan doesn't seem wise, as it protects the skin from DNA damage caused by the UVA portion of the UV spectrum. A very good video on using sunlight can be found at http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uMiswBTjNls.

Re: Do I just give up on answers?

Research Lyme disease, and in the meantime (while your doctors twiddle their thumbs) research the low-risk/high-reward advice on diet and supplementation found on this forum. Good luck.

Squeakycat, glad to see you're posting. Teva also funded a study that showed minocycline used in conjunction with Copaxone resulted in "a 63-65% reduction in MRI lesions compared to the Co group, and a greater reduction in risk of relapse (54%, 0.19 vs 0.41)." No surprise here that there h...

Re: Jimmy Legs Help ME!!!!!! thanks

LLL3885, hi: A negative result on a Western blot does not mean they can rule out Lyme disease. My adult son was diagnosed with MS in early 2013, in part due to a negative (as far as the CDC is concerned) Western blot, even though some bands associated with the bacteria that causes Lyme were present....

Re: newbie confused

Lyme tests negative by what standards? My adult son was "diagnosed" with MS after only one attack even though 2 bands were present for Lyme in initial bloodwork (though negative for Lyme as far as CDC is concerned when testing using Western blot). However, 8 months later he had his blood t...
