Hey Bob, I haven't been around and I just found the post. Like some others who have responded, my attacks have come hand in hand with cold sore breakouts. Coincidence (?) maybe, but I can assure you that when I have a HHV flareup, I have an MS flair up (or visa/verse). If it were possible to "s...

Bob,
On a bit of a follow up, a Google search of HHV-6 and MS adds some interesting data on the viral connection. MS is triggered by something, I find it extremely plausible to consider this a candidate.

Sh8un,
Interesting bedside manner. Dignan's is much better. It is listed in his phase 111 drug trial post. Anyone know if this trial has expanded to RRMS patients?
And a question for you scientists out there, isn't the Amino Acid theory what Copaxone works on?

Plasmapheresis

Hey Dig, I found some links you wrote a while back (07 I think) on Plasmapheresis and wondered what the current news is. I have a friend with Guillain Barre Syndrome (and you think MS is rare!) and they are recommending this therapy. There are huge similarities between MS and GBS so if it works for ...

Bob, I think I'll take that bet. Too much info/study data leading that direction to discount it. We have done a impromptu survey in our group and almost all have a viral history be it EBV or Herpes. Dr Volmer (extreme guru of MS) of the Rocky Mountain MS Center, puts a lot of stock in this theory, s...

Bob,
And then what? I don't think anyone gave up hope that it worked, they just gave up on us.

TWG, When did you have a MRI? Was it still part of "Open Label"? I got my last study MRI 2 months before they moved. I would make copies and send them to Opexa every day until I ran out of paper then I would buy more paper and start over! Bur seriously, I'm sure Debbie will work it out. By...

new info? or not

I didn't see this posted so.... here it is. Question, how does Rituximab differ from the other monoclonal antibodies such as Campath and Tysabri? Thanks Lars Rituximab Breaking News from Dr. Vollmer In the development of new therapies for multiple sclerosis, there are occasions in which the results ...

Strange dream life. I am aware of VERY vivid dreams but can't usually remember them when I wake up which I find extremely odd. Technicolor is a great description. They seem like slices of life that I can't remember. I also go into the "I think it helps" category.

Jane, While I whole heartedly agree with Bob's take on Opexa, I love your energy and determination. After exhausting all other therapy options and admitting my anger towards Opexa, I suppose I would swallow my pride and get back in line. Desperation and "moral code" don't always play nicel...

Just for general info, I got really tired of trying to convince my Docs to prescribe LDN for me so I ordered it from Allday Chemists (no prescription necessary) on line in the 50 mg form, bought a $3 50ml bottle and a pediatric ML syringe, mix with distilled water and good to go. It tastes terrible ...

Marcia, The only thing I can come up with is a recollection of a very brief conversation I had with my site when this all started. I believe there are different requirements for private vs. public sites. My site is at the University of New Mexico Hospital and that may explain a lot. I suppose I'll g...
