Re: Leg stiffness
Hi Everyone, Here is my experience with stiffness. I was given Baclofen back in the late 90's and had an extreme side effect so tried vitamin d with good results. Have been on magnesium bisglycinate for 2 or 3 years with no problems at all.....200 mg 2x per day.....before breakfast and 1 1/2 hours a...

Re: Baclofen dilemma
Baclofen did not work for me but Vitamin D and Magnesium do. Each of us are different tho. Thanks for the info. May I ask how much of each you take? Hi David, I take 5000 IU of Vitamin D per day and 2 - 200 mg of Magnesium as well. Vitamin D worked well for me long ago and had taken different dosag...

Re: For wheelchairers, how do you pull up pants after toilet
I am lucky enough to have help with this now. My hubby pulls me up to a horizontal bar as I can still weight bear a little or my caregiver and I do the "lean to and fro" dance on the w/c and toilet. Stretchyyyy pants and underpants help also. My caregiver says the medical stores that sell ...

I also have mild tinnitus. Appeared about 5 years ago when I started some dental work on my jaw. Or b/c of the MS?? My orthodontist has it and has tried several things but to no avail.

Re: Lawsuit against Dr. Arata is dismissed
Before I saw Dr. Arata in 2010 I did my own research. We then went to California and had a long talk before AND after the procedure with Dr. Arata at his office. A couple months later when I had phoned him he called me back on his way home from work. The conversations were always detailed and profes...

Improvements??
Has anyone who's had this MS thing for awhile had any improvements while on the high doses of Biotin? Have been taking Biotin for a year and haven't seen one thing improve. Thought at least the nails on my right hand would. Need to order more Biotin if I'm going to stay on it.
Thanks!
Thanks!

Re: side effects?
I am taking Biotin from Bulk Supplements since September/2015 and have not noticed any improvements nor side effects. Have mentioned that I have had 3 colds close together but maybe I was just a little run down?? Unusual but who knows. Maybe it's time to switch?? This Biotin is soluble in water. My ...

Hi NINOU,
I guess every family is different. I'm not related to one person with MS and my Mom's family is BIG.
Take care.

Re: side effects?
Have not noticed any extra shivering as I'm always cold anyway but since starting the Biotin last Sept., have had 2 minor colds and now have another one! Before Sept. can't remember last when I had a cold as I'm not a sickly person and never have been. Anyone else getting anything after starting Bio...

Re: If I Could Do it Over
Hi Laura, You and I seem similar in what we can and can't do physically. This is what I do to stay somewhat flexible: My caregiver does range of motion exercises, stretches and massage with me every morning. I also use a similar bicycle as the one NHE mentioned....just not as fancy. I sit in my w/c ...

Re: Anyone with standing, laying, sitting issues?
Hi Starynight, I have slept on my back for quite a few years now with two pillows under my knees and one under my feet. I sleep thru the night now without pain. Have you tried sitting on an air filled cushion? I am in a w/c and this helps immensely. I have also had deep bone pain in my left upper ar...

Thanks!
My chiropractor told me yesterday that Biotin was water soluble. Just wanted another opinion from someone here as I had read elsewhere that it was.

Re: The biotin trial results are out
I too have ordered from one of the above places.
One question tho, on the website it says to heat your water as "it's not water soluble" when using the pure biotin. Is anyone else doing this when not making up capsules? I was just going to mix the biotin in water and take it.
Thanks!
