I have learned through my investigations this past week that Opexa is seeking funding for Tovaxin in order to continue the clinical trials. They are looking at a program called Fast Forward. If they are successful with their proposal to Fast Forward, there is a good possibility they could obtain par...

I agree with you Jane and that's why I have already pitched my plea to speak at the NMSS Public Policy Conference regarding MS Research and Tovaxn. Will I get anywhere? I don't know how to get through to anyone at Opexa. They see me as a patient, not an advocate. I mentioned this to the site coordin...

What is the Public Policy for MS? Is there a web link somewhere with an agenda? This is the link for last year's PPC. This year the dates are March 10-12. Check with your local National MS Office or check the NMSS.org website for the update. We are just starting to gear up for the Public Policy Con...

One has to wonder how far back the trial would have to go even with additional funding. Back to 11b, 11, 1, etc. I don't think it is realistic to assume, even in the best case that Tovaxin would continue anywhere near where it left off. Lars That would probably depend on the testimony of administer...

Maybe you could use the MRI as evidence in a lawsuit. That would be a reason not to give you copies of it. I'll bet a subpoena would get them though. Stray late night thought. Surely you jest Patrick! I am not mad enough at the people who have participated in the trial to stop fighting for what I t...

I've had some interesting developments the past couple of months. Nov 19th I had a complete spine MRI and it showed no pathology for MS but it showed a couple of pinched nerves and some other stuff. I was dx'd with cervical radiculopathy. Basically I have been having serious problems with my right a...

It seems to me that with all the funds that were earmarked for MS Research in the last budget that some of those funds could have been used/released for this purpose. Again, I'd have to think that because MS continues to be considered a T cell mediated disease and that the Tovaxin process is repute...

I am going to run this by some of my friends in the legislature and see if there is something that can be done on a higher level. I am on the Government Relations Committee for the National MS Society and one of the things I do is seek funds for MS Research. I put together groups who are seeking fun...

Re: crazy question

Okay, kids, if I "read" crazy, it's because I'm coming down (I'm pretty sure) with a major sinus infection and am so oxygen-deprived with this congestion I hardly know what I'm doing. So--some questions, if you will: 1) For those who got the real thing during the trial: if you all can rem...

Had an MRI and neuro visit yesterday to decide which CRAB drug to start taking. For me, Copaxone was the best option as R, A & B could all potential mess with my already messed up thyroid. My daily injections will start right around Christmas - oh, joy! My brain MRI showed one new lesion on the...

I've been so out of it over the past 5 weeks dealing with this flare that I've not been able to really pay much attention to what's been going on. Now that I am finished with the IVSM, maybe I can concentrate on what it all says. Considering the fact that my site coordinator has kept me pretty much...

I thought when I said "19 who got axed from Opexa" I thought it would be clear I meant employees, Sorry for the confusions, it was not my intent. When they lay off people where I work it is usually around the holiday season and I always think it is cold blooded. I'm wired for my concerns ...
