I also like to add a brief blurb about my past visits with my neuro. After waiting for hours in his office, it is finally my turn to talk to him. He looks over my MRIs and says, "Yup looks like MS to me." Here are your ABCR options. Pick one." My second visit with him a few months lat...

Since my first attack last winter, I have been posting on this site. You will see some postings about ABCRS drugs and my side effects. After three months, I decided to come off the Inteferon due to the side eefects. I began to become interested in the idea of that my symptoms was due to a possible i...

The effects of Minocycline in the first two weeks

After giving up on one of the ABCR drugs due to the side effects, I felt the need to at least do something for my newly diagnosed MS. I convinced my GP to give me a prescription for Minocycline. The first thing I have noticed on being on the antibiotic is that it makes me slightly lightheaded. I hav...

I think most neuros would say that taking one of the ABCR drugs would be the best choice.

As for the pharmaceutical companies, I wouldn't trust them to feed my dog.

I am curious. 400,000 people in the U.S. has MS. Out of the 400,0000, small portion probably developed type II diabetes and started taking this drug. Is this how they found out that Pioglitazone helped?

Minocycline sold in the U.S. costs about $50 dollars for a 100 mg 60 count. Perhaps if you can find a way to get your presicription filled thru an online paharmacy...

I was using an Interferon but I was one of the few unfortunate ones that the side effects never diminished. I had to discontinue the drug but it was just too overwhelming. I didn't not taking anything for my current chronic condition. So now I am starting Minocycline for my "acne". I am ho...

Early approval for Antegren

Can someone revisit and summarize what Antegren means to the MS community, listing the positive benefits and the potential downside and side effects?

There seems to be lot of new people onboard. Perhaps we all can share in some hope in the near future.

I can safely say that I and a lot of people on this site learn more from Fell, HarryZ, and Finn than any neuro.

Thanks and keep it going!

Antibiotics and MS

After serious reflection, I decided to stop using the ABCR drugs as a treatment. I do want to try Minocycline as an alternative treatment. My main question is what is the consequence on being on antibiotics for long periods of time? Is it true that after some time your body builds up an immunity to ...

I am assuming you are using Avenox. If so, I believe the choice area is actually in your leg. I would think this area would be less painful and easier to do rather than the arm. The leg also has larger muscle groups. I alternate right and left leg every other week as directed. I would think this wou...

The Connection Between MS And Aspartame

Here is a "quirky" link that I found interesting. Again, infection is a key role.
