Re: Notes from CureIous' at Stanford
Where is the migrated stent lodged? Not the heart but an artery feeding the lungs? I would be so mad, not at it happening but that you weren't informed and options considered back when there were options.

Re: cerebrospinal fluid flow is reduced in MS
Overall, these results indicate that dynamic 11C-PiB PET can be used to observe pathological changes in cerebrospinal fluid dynamics and that cerebrospinal fluid-mediated clearance is reduced in Alzheimer's disease and multiple sclerosis compared to healthy controls. So something called a dynamic 1...

Re: CCSVI procedure failed...
the CTA don't show (IJV + brachiocephalic vein junction) That would be the primary area that would need to be seen and the most likely area where you were treated during angioplasty. Sigh. You could still benefit from a doppler of that area but it doesn't seem like your doctor is onboard. Anyway, t...

This is above my head. Lots of equations. Here's a conclusion: Our computational results show that during the cardiac cycle there is an intraparenchymal bidirectional CSF-ISF movement which potentially helps to avoid localizations of stagnant water inside the brain. Based on the computational result...

Re: CCSVI procedure failed...
I did experience some benefits on frequency and intensity of headaches. There has been some intriguing research on CCSVI treatment in patients with headaches. It's possible you are a nonresponder and it's not worth pursuing CCSVI any further. It's possible your IR did not inflate the balloon far en...

Re: CCSVI procedure failed...
I'm going to see my doctor today and see if he can refer me to do a echocardiography (echo color doppler). I have no idea how to check the overall condition of the IJVs. A doppler is a good idea. It should be able to show if there is flow in both IJVs. Did your doctor refer you? If he was against t...
