Re: Can veins be too small for CCSVI treatment?

No, no cm, mm. I was amazed at first, but it is what it is. My veins were that thin at the thinnest place. That's why I has full-blown MS at 17, I guess. And I have had the symptoms since 10-13. The thinning is really high in the brain root, ear-height, so the right one had to be stented (6 cm). Abo...

Re: How are you doing since treatment??

Hi Magoo, after the treatment, I think I am still sick, I just changed areas - from neurological to cardio-vascular patient. :) I had the procedure in June 2010, I had 3 relapses or mild exacerbations in November, January and April (November and April are the typical ones), but the last two were rat...

Re: Can veins be too small for CCSVI treatment?

I guess mine would be extremely hypoplastic, the left one 1.3 mm, the right one .7 mm, the left one reacted positively to ballooning, the right one wouldn't even after 50 ballooning attempts. Actually, so far I haven't come across such vein sizes, are these even rarer?

Re: Researcher contends MS is not a disease of ...

I had a perfect diet for 10 years and was overwhelmed with relapses and downward trend.
Since the procedure all I want to eat is meat and sweet, and my relapses have been fading away.

I think this doc's statements are a bit too harsh and unsubstantiated.

Re: question about stents

I think no, to hit you, maybe.
In these cold days I think that my neck is kind of stiff, I feel pain when I turn it unexpectedly. I suppose it is from the cold and the contraction of the veins in cold, But that's just my interpretation.

Re: meditation in CCSVI in MS

No research or anything else can direct you to the way you should feel after CCSVI, what improvements should there be, etc. Still, the research can make you understand what you feel, and boy do I live now! :)

Re: question about teeth

Wow, there's definitely some connection to teeth! My gums (actually the bones or the roots in my gum) have popped out a bit forming a sticking sharp angle. I mean, it is not that I look like a teeth freak with teeth roots sticking out, it is not visible, but they are prominent than they used to be. ...

Re: question about teeth

I had a few broken teeth and root canals which had to be removed (I was postponing this for 5 years due to a fear of relapse). I finally did it, but after the CCSVI procedure the bones above the missing teeth became so prominent and sharp... I cannot really explain it, but, yes, there is definitely ...

Re: Smoking and restenosis poll

Smoking is not quite an issue for me, I smoke about 5-6 cigarettes a month, but drinking alcohol is awful after the one year course of anti-coagulants. I quit taking them 5 mos ago and I still experience very bad side effects even after 2 drinks of martini (12%). How much of it can be attributed to ...

Re: Dr. Zamboni-CCSVI is "difficult to treat"

I agree with Cece. Many patients halted progression even with the non-perfect procedure. A friend of mine went to Zamboni, who said that her MS was "not of that sort" (meaning the treating sort) and that she couldn't do anything. Before that she went to Bulgaria, where the doc told her tha...

Re: CCSVI and body temperature... Long, but it might be wort

There was also a man from Italy who reacted to cooling, he could walk a straight line after swimming in the ocean. I, unfortunately, have symptom worsening when the weather turns cold, which I usually attribute to narrowing of the veins in cold, but who knows, I'd guess there's definitely more to it.

Re: CCSVI and Stem cell procedure

Not really, in Bulgaria it is about 4000-5000 $ (2.500 EUR). Maybe worth the try, but maybe I will wait a bit to see the results. Not much in a hurry.
