BCBS wil do whatever they can to avoid paying a claim. I sued them in 1983. They paid the inpatient hospital bill on a minor surgery, denied the doctor's part ($300), which meant my major medical couldn't release the balance of the doctor's reimbursement. My major medical approved the claim. When I...

I actually happen to be one of the few that does not have the ms label. I have had the procedure and have re-stenosed and looking forward to Dr. Sclafani doing my next procedure. The Drs. can't seem to find what my problem is. I think I will try and fight this one. Like I have been told though, eve...

As I sat wondering about the wisdom of my public post and opinion and whether to figure out how to delete a post, Dr Sclafani posted after me. It is more important than my post. I think we are warned here, folks. God help us. My problems are merely a grain of sand when it comes to the bigger picture...

AAC billing
Here's what AAC has done to me... First, please note that I think the world of Dr Sclafani and do not wish to hurt him and what he is doing. However, I am very frustrated with AAC billing. I had my 2nd procedure 1/28/11 by Dr Sclafani (my 1st procedure was with Dr Siskin and BC/BS covered 100%). Pri...

Re: QUESTION for those with thrombosis or occlusion
What symptoms did you have that led you to believe you had thrombosis or occlusion of your jugular veins following CCSVI liberation? Not MS symptoms (necessarily) ... but those related to your jugulars being thrombosed or occluded? I'm thinking Dania, Vivavie and Newlywed ... all have had this ... ...

As patients I think we go into this knowing it is a new use of an old procedure, all the details have not yet been ironed out. The feeling of being left high-and-dry may be because there is nothing more the doctor can do? The extra costs of IVUS (both in hardware and time added on to the procedure)...
