Re: Interesting General info on Magnesium
I agree that magnesium is critical, especially if you are doing a lot of vitamin D. However, it's a turn off to see a doctor touting benefits of a supplement, and then selling them on the same web site.

Re: Role of Japanese Knotweed Root in Treating Lyme Disease/Inflammation
Very interesting. Japanese knotweed is one of the most aggressive, difficult to eradicate, invasive plants in the world.

Re: New member seeking help
For pain, CBD oil is very helpful, it may also help with MS in general. CBD oil is perfectly legal and safe, with no narcotic effect. Have you had your vitamin D level checked? Taking 10,000 IU a day is safe and the max you can take without a doctor's intervention. There is a protocol - Dr Coimbra's...

Very interesting. looks like vitamin D may protect against leaky gut - something that Aston Embry was talking about 10 years ago.

I'm not a doctor, but I'm not sure that being on a constant detox regimen is the best for your body. It's not even part of the true Coimbra protocol.

Re: Vitamin D intoxication due to intake of ultra-high doses
I'm not a doctor, but I've done a tremendous amount of research on this, since my wife is being treated for MS with 70,000 IU of vitamin D daily under the care of Dr Holick at Boston Medical Center. Dr Holick is considered one of the medical world's leading experts on all things vitamin D, and has m...

Re: Fed up PRMS looking for anything !!
The vitamin D protocol is not a 'diet' type treatment. If you read the technical papers on this, the theory is that people with ms have a resistance to getting vitamin D in their cells due to genetic issues. Vitamin D is really a harmone, and is crucial to all kinds of functions. By taking massive d...

Re: Zamboni/Zivadinov PRO/CON
Great pics! I have always been curious about Mt Tremblant. It looks beautiful - very European. It looks like there is a paved bike trail? We frequently visit the Eastern Townships as there are miles and miles of perfectly flat, paved bike trails thru beautiful farm country. My wife had the CCSVI pro...

Re: US vs Canada
According to Dr Coimbra and several other doctors, not only is geography a factor, but apparently many people have a genetic quirk that makes them resistant to properly assimilating vitamin D. This is the basis of the Coimbra protocol which advocates massive doses of D. From what I've read, 20 minut...

Two things that might help - Dr Coimbra's vitamin D protocol, the high dose biotin protocol. Plenty of info on both if you google them.

Elliot - I totally agree - I was just putting her name out for anyone wanting to explore this option. I personally think the stem cell trials going on at the Tisch MS center do offer real hope.

Just FYI - there was a woman who has posted extensively on the web about her positive experience with stem cell treatment in Panama. I believe her name is Holly Huber, and I think you can google it and get lots of info.

To each his own, I guess. Who is Roger Wilcox? what qualifications does he have? If you search long enough on the internet you can probably find someone who swears that living on m&m's is the secret to health and the Earth is really flat.

Re: Interesting Information About Lectins
Not eating vegetables and fruits doesn't sound very healthy to me. What do you eat? Yes, lectins can be a problem in some foods, but cooking lowers the toxicity. I can't imagine things like carrots, broccoli, kale, blueberries, etc are hazardous to your health. I would however limit things like bean...
