Re: MSRV Retrovirus, phase 2

Re: angioplasty alters bp favourably

Well my blood pressure is now much higher than it was before the angioplasty but perhaps that is because I am much less fit and more disabled!

Re: Thymoquinone from black seed oil fights ebv (in vitro)

I think that nigella sativa caused a minor relapse in my left foot and that this has gradually resolved whilst on melatonin, crocin, beta interferon 1a, vitamin a, vitamin d, niacin, tryptophan, curcumin, inosine and minocycline. I would be EXTREMELY cautious about nigella sativa.

Re: Vitamin A

Well, it changes, it doesn't get much harder like on the anatabine or the ocimum sancturm. But it seems a bit stiffer and less prone to spasming in bed at night!

Re: Vitamin A

Honestly, this vitamin a and saffron supplement regime has gone hand in hand with a reduction in spasms. About 3 to 5 hours after taking the vitamin A my walking gets a bit harder, a bit more spastic so I have started taking it at tea time and the spasms just aren't there when I lie in bed. Weird. O...

Re: Vitamin A

Hey Cureo! Well after all these years of necking vitamin D without any noticeable effect I would definitely say I have observed a change since starting the vitamin A in that my night spasms are better or milder and the walking somewhat stiffer about 5 hours after taking the vitamin a but not substan...

Vitamin A

I think I have noticed an improvement since starting 10,000 iu of vitamin A (palmitate) although it has only been about 4 days! Check out the Pubmed stuff on it though. It's quite encouraging. Par exemple: PLoS One. 2011;6(9):e24590. doi: 10.1371/journal.pone.0024590. Epub 2011 Sep 13. All-trans ret...

Re: Gibbledygook's stents

So I think nigella sativa may actually be harmful because it upregulates antigen specific CD8 positive T cells and because I got a renewed and worse symptom(s) in my left foot so I ditched this herb about 3 weeks ago and switched instead to saffron which seems much better in terms of providing antio...

Re: CROCIN - FROM SAFFRON

Well, Rodinac is diclofenac which is a bit more like acetaminophen and so is completely unrelated to crocin, derived from saffron, the spice, which as NHE says is very expensive but surprisingly cheap in supplement format.

Re: CROCIN - FROM SAFFRON

Just to reiterate, in case anyone is reading this. This Crocin is from the crocus plant and is basically SAFFRON and NOT acetaminophen as apparently some big pharmaceutical company is marketing its acetaminophen as crocin in India and other parts of the subcontinent. Acetaminophen is also marketed a...

CROCIN - FROM SAFFRON

Okay, I've been on this stuff but one day but I think this may be another good herb along with curcumin and salvia miltiorrhiza. I did 5 minutes on the cross trainer today and I wasn't expecting to do more than 2 minutes. My other physio task which was much harder on the nigella sativa was today pre...
