Re: Tecfidera
I have a follow up with my neurologist in July. I think he may suggest Tecfidera also. I, too, am currently on Copaxone. I also have been doing the antibiotic protocol for 4-5 years. I am doing very well. At this point I have decided to wait on Tecfidera if in fact he suggests it. I don't want to &q...

Re: ***CAN DOCTOR MAKE ME SWITCH MEDICATIONS???***
I say find a new neurologist. If you had 4 new lesions and they did not notify you they are not serving your best interest. Find a new neuro, perhaps get a new MRI and go from there. If it were me I would not feel confident in recommendations based on two year old information.

Re: why do antibiotics and immonsupressing both work?
Geeze Gogo, what do you want? This continuous bashing of the antibiotic therapy (and of Sarah) is growing tiresome. Not every therapy works for every patient. But a patient should have the opportunity to try whatever therapy they deem appropriate. There is a ton of research available for someone to ...

Re: Side effects
I'm sorry I can't help you with any information. I have been told the gastrointestinal side effects are transient and usually subside within the first month. Would you keep us updated on your experience with this drug? It would be so appreciated.

Re: MARIJAUNA BEING ILLEGAL IS PURE "BS"-PLAIN AND SIMPLE
I just attended a debate on legalization of marijuana yesterday. The leading proponent was Jeff Miron, professor at Harvard and a senior fellow at the CATO Institute . He has a strong argument for legalization coming from an economic standpoint. I found this recent YouTube interview with Dr. Miron a...

Re: Insights to Bacterial MS and other de-generative disease
Gogo I have kept a log on both this site and on CPn Help.org. It is entitled loriyas antibiotic log. You can read about my experience with antibiotic therapy there. I will be going to Vanderbilt for a yearly appointment in July. I will update then.

Re: loriyas antibiotic log
I realized I have not updated this in almost a year. I have continued to deal with back pain but not convinced it is MS related. MRI showed no new lesions and the one that is there is not active. Regarding abx therapy I restarted the rifampin and azithromycin as instructed by Dr. S at Vanderbilt. I ...

Re: Insights to Bacterial MS and other de-generative disease
Gogo, you seem to have continued interest in antibiotic therapy but want to have proof that it works. I have been going to Vanderbilt for over 4 years. The bottom line is the therapy works for some people and not for others. For those whom it has worked they continue on as they see the therapy as ho...

Re: Insights to Bacterial MS and other de-generative disease
I am another person who has benefitted from the antibiotic protocol. I followed the Vanderbilt protocol prescribed for me by a neurologist at Vanderbilt. I have had great success. I used to blog about it on both This Is MS and CPn Help.org. I rarely do anymore, mostly because of posters like Gogo. S...

Re: Spine feels weird .....
You know that saying "it's just like riding a bike"? Well not so much with MS! It took me a long time to get my balance back when riding my bike. And you are right, turns were almost impossible and really scary! So initially I made sure I rode mostly in a straight line and would actually g...
