Hi everyone, Just wanted to post a follow-up to this now that many months have gone by. One night after an indulgent happy hour, I had to do my shot. I got a ride home and did it before going out for the rest of the night - and it was the first pain-free shot since they started hurting! I think the ...

Thanks everyone! I do feel very fortunate that we're taking this trip. It's risky in that who knows how long it'll take us to find jobs again when we come home, but you know what? Life is short! Work schmerk. Jimmylegs, that was so funny listening to the translations. Good for me to have those in my...

Long-term international travel with MS

Hey everybody, MS has made me realize life can change on a dime and we have to make the most of our healthy bodies while we have them. So...my hubby and I have decided we're going to drop everything and travel around Europe for about 4-5 months, leaving in November. Whoo hoo!! I'm interested to hear...

Hey Dizzzi,

How'd the manual injection go? I've been on it since Sept 2010 and I still haven't ever tried doing it manually...

Hope everything is going OK for you.

Any other control freaks out there?

Does anyone have any stories or advice to share on coping with the diagnosis, and how to overcome feelings of helplessness and lack of control? I was diagnosed in July 2010, and thought I was doing OK with everything. Since onset, I haven't have many symptoms and have resumed life as normal other th...

Thanks patientx! That info was very helpful; I think this means I'd be in the clear. I would definitely go on Cobra between jobs, despite the expense. This is a little weight off my shoulders. Thank you for the link & info :D

I thought so, but my call to BlueCross said otherwise. They told me that because I take a maintenance medication and see a doctor for regular check-ups, it is a disqualifying pre-existing condition and no insurer will give me coverage. I think the reforms don't officially kick in until 2012, and the...

Have you been denied coverage in California?

I really want to quit my job and am afraid I will be denied coverage through my next employer because of MS. Has this happened to anyone, or has anyone successfully obtained coverage through an employer after you were diagnosed and treated for MS? What do those of you that have been denied do for me...

Re: i know this is ridiculous but...

Sounds like a pain in the butt though! I laughed out loud at my desk when I read this. A pain in the butt indeed! :) Thanks for your responses everyone, at least I know I am not alone in my worrying about weird symptoms. It hasn't gotten worse so that's a good thing. I'm gonna go with the "not...

I am still new to MS. My tailbone suddenly started hurting and I DID NOT fall or injure it any way whatsoever...can flare-ups present themselves as a bruised, painful sensation like that? I'm sure I just sat down weird for a while without realizing it and aggravated it, but now I am curious to know ...
