Re: The biotin trial results are out

I had never come across Tyndall scattering, so I reached for my laser pointer - and the batteries were dead! So I got out my backup pointer - and the batteries were dead on that one as well! Cut to the chase - new batteries, and there is no difference between a bottle of spring water, and a bottle o...

Re: The biotin trial results are out

Well, I can say for sure that 100% pure Biotin is water-soluble. And, it does not need warm water to dissolve. I use 20oz/500ml bottles with the "sports cap", which are stored in the kitchen. Each evening I measure 300mg (maybe + 1 or 2 mg) remove the bottle cap, and tip the measured Bioti...

Re: RE A CANADIAN MS MAN WALKING AFTER USING BIOTIN FOR 3 WE

I'm not a Facebook member either, but I have a friend who is. He tells me that the video link given is "unavailable", and so is the "Biotin for progressive MS" group. For most people here the information is useless. Since the Med-day trial results suggest that the effects start t...

Re: Biotene - diahrea?

After two months of 300mg daily, no obvious side effects.
I am sleeping better though, but this could just be a coincidence.

Re: Autologous stem cell therapy (adult fat-derived stem cel

Interesting article on WebMD saying main use is against some cancers, and AFTER chemotherapy which affects immune system. This could be where somebody got the idea of using it as a treatment for MS. I do not think I would take the chance. http://www.webmd.com/cancer/lymphoma/autologous-stem-cell-tra...

Re: CNS lymph vessels found. Brain is not immune-privileged

You can also take a look at this: http://lifespa.com/amazing-benefits-of-sleeping-on-your-left-side/ I have seen a suggestion that either side is better than on your back, but I cannot find it. Personally, I usually sleep on my right side, but this is due to differences in shoulder and arm movement....

Re: Biotin for RRMS?

One compromise approach is to put the whole 300mg into a 20ounce/500ml bottle of water, and keep sipping all day.
Sort-of a home-brewed controlled release.
I make mine up in the evening and it is ready for the next morning.

Re: 300 mg Biotin tablets available in United States

It might be interesting to ask a compounding pharmacist how much they would charge to make tablets, or fill capsules, if you provide the Biotin in a sealed pack from a reputable supplier.

Re: 300 mg Biotin tablets available in United States

No need for a prescription in England - just go ahead and order from one of the US suppliers. I know that with Pure Bulk Ltd, if you try to order something that cannot be supplied to your country, their system will not let you complete the purchase With Biotin, I think it would be classed as a Suppl...

seeva , you do realize that this is not news, don't you? This is the same study that has been reported for months - it's just that some academics with a good study (a Phase III trial in this case) will want to promote their work in as many conferences as possible. It helps their list of publication...

Re: GCMAF, VDRS, viruses, bacteria, nagalase, gut flora etc

Actually, it was the FDA who banned 23andme from sending out reports that related to the client's health. The company reaction was to open operations in Canada and England (and they could be very close to breaching (or exploiting) privacy law in these countries). A report in The Verge 8 months back ...

Re: GCMAF, VDRS, viruses, bacteria, nagalase, gut flora etc

Merlyn, I don't quite understand your comment: "It's not just David Noakes, do some research…" My post was addressing the alleged treatment of David Noakes - it was not about GcMAF with regard to which I retain an open mind. Perhaps you would care to do a little research on David Noakes, a...

Merlyn wrote Unfortunately, I am not in the position to try this stuff. Also, my doctor has decided to stop working with it. There are a bunch of dead doctors they were using the stuff and considering that they have closed all the clinics in Europe and gone after Dr. Noates in the Guernsey islands e...

Re: When do new symptoms from relapses usually occur?

The first neurologist I saw put it this way: If a new symptom pops up and lasts for more that a day - make a note of it. If it lasts for more than a week - get on the phone. The underlying assumption is that a symptom that lasts for more than a week indicates a relapse. My relapses have always been ...
