Re: Undiagnosed and Anxious
Hi LostandWorried. What do you guys think? Could this be MS? Maybe, maybe not. It's impossible to diagnose MS based on symptoms alone. Many conditions mimic MS so testing to rule in/out other conditions as well as testing and neurological exam/evaluation that will indicate MS as a cause for symptoms...

Re: Just diagnosed with Demyelinating Disease
Hi MNPB.
The MRI report is not a diagnosis. A Neurologist will need to correlate MRI finding with other clinical evidence (other tests and Neurological evaluation/exam). Don't be surprised if there is more testing needed before a diagnosis (of something) is given.

Hi Tash. Did you ever receive a diagnosis of MS or does your diagnosis of MCTD still stand? If your diagnosis is still MCTD you should see your Dr. and discuss this with him. My journey to a MS diagnosis (3 months) started when I lost the majority of my mobility as well as many other symptoms. My mo...

Re: Please help me cope with my symptoms
Hi Lostpuppy, From the information you have provided you might consider seeing a Dr. about treating your anxiety with medication. It is very possible for anxiety to cause the symptoms you are having and/or make them worse. If your anxiety was controlled it might be possible to see an improvement in ...

This would not be due to MS. The best Dr. to see for what is on your fingers is a Dermatologist.

Re: Purple Foot!
I have experienced purple/red swollen feet due to MS. This has only happened twice and was part of an exacerbation, once the exacerbation resolved so did the swollen purple/red feet problem. I have never experienced this any other time and I did not use steroids.

Hi, You would need to see a Neurologist for testing to determine if you have MS or not. There is a diagnostic criteria for MS. MS cannot be diagnosed based on symptoms alone. https://www.nationalmssociety.org/NationalMSSociety/media/MSNationalFiles/Research/Updated_McDonald_Criteria_Likely_To_Speed_...

Re: Twilight fatigue and aspirin
Hi msthunk,
More than likely aspirini helps due to the caffeine in it. Many with MS use caffeine to help with fatigue.

Your Dr. should consider an x-ray which shows if there is a problem with /spine/vertebrae, discs/spacing/bulging/herniated, the MRI does not show this as well as the x-ray. A mechanical back problem can cause neurological symptoms. I've also gotten the "sparkle" effect with the floaters tw...

Re: Well now I have something
I've had IV methylprednisolone for ON at an outpatient infusion center. This was the type of facility that's also used for chemo treatments. NHE you are correct. Infusion Centers are also used for some of the DMDs/DMTs. My Neurology Office has their own in of Infusion Center. That doesn't sound lik...

About all the two opthamologists could agree upon was physically the eye looks fine, If you had Optic Neuritis(ON) your Ophthalmologists would have been able to determine your vision problem as Optic Neuritis. Your GP would not be able to diagnose ON and in the majority of cases a Neurologist will ...

Hi Luongo, Based on your Neurology testing there doesn't appear to be any concern of Multiple Sclerosis and especially PPMS. You are correct, there is no indication of spinal cord involvement based on what you have written. It does appear you deal with a possible mental health issue, such as anxiety...
