Re: Ceramides in MS
I wish this article were written in English. I didn't get a word of that. So are they saying these circulating lipid thingys are what is causing nerve cell death in CSF. If so, what are these things are where do they come from? A wikipedia search shows that they could be related to the stress respon...

Re: Stay away from Beets and Sugar Beet byproducts
Thanks for posting this information. It is new to me. However I would suggest that iron itself can aggravate ms. I know iron supplements can be terrible for me. But low iron can also be caused by low copper. And low copper can create MS like symptoms. Because copper is necessary for the maintenance ...

Re: Compound decreases effects of multiple sclerosis..
yeah, feed the mice to the cats, and do medical research on humans. Now I know what people will say in response. But we have to test the mice first to see if is safe for us. That's a red herring. They aren't testing these compounds for safety. They test for effectiveness at treating a model of MS. T...

Re: Compound decreases effects of multiple sclerosis..
well I guess the good news is that there is great hope for your multiple sclerosis if you are a mouse. Am I the only one who is sick of all the wasted money, research time, false starts, empty promises that have come from this failed mouse model. Is there a single treatment, applicable to humans, th...

Re: impotence
yeah. I had tested low for manganese, and read a study showing that manganese is typically low in MS. I also read some info about social anxiety being tied to elevated copper, and people found relief from SA by taking manganese. SA is a serious problem for me, so I thought I would tinker a bit. Inte...

Re: impotence
the only time I had this problem was after taking 50mg zinc for about a month along with manganese (both copper antagonists). At first, it jazzed things up. Soon thereafter, it took the pizzaz and life out of everything. The only way things went back to normal was laying off zinc and manganese for a...

does it get worse before getting better
I think I've mentioned this here before, but I think I was alone on this. I'm still trying to make Tec work, and am on my sixth attempt. What happens is about a week into the half dose, I start getting all kinds of new MS symptoms. These disappear when I discontinue the drug. For example, I just sta...

Re: Diet cure anyone?
not to be a contrarian, but if your conclusion is that the Wahls diet is about meat, you got it wrong somewhere. Her diet is about heaps (plates full) of vegetables. In her most recent talk on youtube, basically she classifies her diet approach as being about vegetables. (she says talk to your docto...

Re: halos around lights at night
thanks for the reply. I forgot to mention that the halos are the same in both eyes, which would be unusual for ON. I experienced ON differently in each eye. That points to a nutritional/inbalance/deficiency cause in my opinion. It just came out of nowhere two or three weeks ago. Some nights it's wor...

halos around lights at night
anybody else have any experience with this? My biggest issue so far has been optic neuritis. But I haven't had an episode in seven years. About a month before the ON attack, I started seeing halos around lights at night--usually parking lot lights or traffic lights. While the ON never fully resolved...

Has anyone bought or read his book. I don't like the spam like snake oil tactics. So many subjects I google on ms lead me to a redirect of his book/ program for a steep price.

Re: Optic Neuritis
I had ON and lesions. But I didn't need a dr to tell me I had it. It started with stabbing pain when I did shoulder checks while driving. Literally like a knife behind my eye. then there was a hairline blur line in my central field of vision. Within a few days, half the color was gone and much of th...

Re: MS Body Type?
wait, not that I'm an expert on this subject, but it seems like I've read that obesity is linked to MS. Now we're saying pwMS are skinny? I know I have always been skinny. A male at 6'1. I wonder if this is just an association with northern European ancestry. I have tall aunts.

I went back to my university this summer and thought I would do some reading on MS. My school has one of the ten largest libraries in the US with about 12 million volumes and is connected to a high ranking medical school. We had about 750 books on MS. But, I couldn't believe this, only about six or ...
