While the US system can give you an MRI very quickly in most cases, you have to wonder what will happen once another 40-45 million people who don't have any kind of health care at all become part of the "system". Some of them will require an MRI and I would imagine the line-ups will start ...

Hey Bubba. The big issue for me in BC Canada is the wait time for an MRI. When I first went to emergency Feb 10, '09, I got a CT scan that day, and the duty Doctor started the paper work for an MRI. I got a letter about a month ago saying my MRI is scheduled for Dec '09. 10 months!!???. Anyway, I to...

Looks like fun Robbie! A buddy of mine crashed his brand new altralight about 16 years ago. He didn't get hurt, but had to spend all winter rebuilding it before he could fly again. It was his maiden flight too...kinda. He was just going to taxi it over to show it to his wife and kids, and it lifted ...

Your brother's young, he can have more.......I hear ya! My nephew's son is 2. They're a lot of fun at that age, and you get to send them home when you get tired of them.

My grandson's middle name is Michael, after me.

shaving alert!

I found out this morning that if you're clumsy, uncoordenated, and stupid enough you can cut your chin while shaving with a Mach 3 SAFETY razer. What a clutz!!! 3 nice 3/4" long slices on my chin. Bleeds like crazy too. Had to put on a bandaide to stop the bleeding. You should have seen my hand...

I don't have any real advice for you, except fight your nieces bullshit tooth and nail, even if no one wins but the lawyers. The niece should not benefit by her ubderhanded manipulation of your motherinlaw. Money is what drove her to these actions, so make damn sure she doesn't end up with any more ...

a new Grandpa!!

Just wanted to share...our youngest daughter & son-in-law just made us the proud grand parents (first time) of a baby boy! He's a real cute little bugger too! We were waiting in the hall about 30 feet from the open door of the delivery room, the son in law was counting to 10, pausing, counting a...

Hi Linda I had my first MRI's at Image One MRI in Kelowna. I had to have 2 because the tech and the Doc's wanted to do an enhaced after the first one. This is a private facility, I paid for the MRI's myself rather than wait for the medical plan to get to me, I was told at least a three month wait, a...

Hi Linda I replied the other day, but I guess I pushed the wrong button and lost my reply. Very sorry for the loss of your brother! Way too young to go. Lose the flip-flops! I trip over the carpets, the cat, and my own 2 feet when I'm fatigued (most days). Flip-flops would just add to the difficulty...

I guess the Dr's have to cover their back sides. I've also got an MRI scheduled in August, so if my Dr says no to driving again in July, I'll wait and see the MRI results, then decide if I should push for the OK to drive. I still operate my boat, but there are no lines on the water.

Most of the time I agree, but there are days when I would like to be able to decide for myself. Sometimes I'd like to drive to town, or drive to the local store........but the fear of hurting someone, or crashing and maybe not being insured keeps me from driving. I have an appointment with the Doc i...

I live in BC, Canada. I am currently on LTD which was paid for by my work. It's through Manulife. It pays 70% of my normal wages (at the date of my disability), subject to taxes, and would be reduced by any government disability amount I may receive. I haven't had any problems with them yet. I do ha...
