I will ask her (double hypoplastic jugular) if she'd like to participate and put her images on this thread. This may take a little time, as she'll need help doing this (and I'm not sure if she holds the images at the moment).

hypo
there is a patient here in melbourne who has a hypoplastic left and right jugular. She gets benefit when treated, but it doesn't last. Surely someone in this state could benefit from stenting - risky yes...but the risk (to life) if left unattended is extreme. Dr S - if you met her you'd want to help...

IVUS in Oz
the IVUS equipment is available at The Alfred (vasular doctors use it) but the IR hasn't been using it yet. There was still some work to be done regarding compatibilty of the IVUS equipment and the other IR equipment.

gathering info
Hi Ikulo,
I've been liberated...just notice that my jugulars feel better after aerobic excercise (I feel mild pressure in them when I wake up, but no pressure after my morning workout). Looking to explore suggested Dr Russell's suggested excercises.

migraine tips
used to suffer from migraines...but they are under control. I avoid my triggers - chocolate, coffee, red wine and lack of sleep. If I have the warning signs of a migraine (such as sudden light sensitivity, or jagged silver lines obscuring my vision) I take two "Aspro clear". This easily di...

excercise program
well - that's what I'm hoping to find out as i can't get hold of the book. But I believe they are excercises such as bench presses - things you can do while flat on your back. This would force blood through your jugulars...which operate when you are in the supine position. When I read this, i though...

congratulations Cece
Gee, take a few days off TIMS and look what happens!
Congrats Cece - welcome to the Liberation Club
I wish this club was not quite so exclusive!
Glad Dr S liked his gift book - thanks for spending time making it happen.
Wishing you continual improvements.

Dr Ritchie Russell's program
I'm starting this thread so I can find out more about neurologist Dr Ritchie Russell's multiple sclerosis exercise program. Anyone tried it? In a nutshell, Dr Russell felt the blood brain barrier could be rebuilt, and blood flow stabilised, if patients did regular exercise in the supine position. ht...

untreated vein...symptoms remain
it's interesting you say that, as we had a very high dew point day in Melbourne recently. I had terrible symptoms in the vein which hasn't been treated to my satisfaction yet...but I didn't have any odd feelings in the other veins which were successfully treated.

dew point
mention humidity, as the dew point is a function of temperature and humidity

misleading article?
this story was splashed across the Australian papers today. I am very happy this person has experienced such a dramatic positive result...but the article has some misleading points. The patient states they are "cured" of MS on several occassions, but also indicates they haven't had a follo...
