The difference is that this drug has the proper scientific studies demonstrating its efficacy (and risks). CCSVI and Liberation treatment don't yet. That's a big difference. When Liberation tx has scientific evidence behind it, I'm sure the NMSS will endorse it too. Ampyra is a symptomatic tx too, i...

"Medicated" Stents?

I just heard on Larry King tonight the doctor talking about the stents that Bill Clinton just had placed in his artery.

He mentioned that medicated stents may last longer than regular stents.

I wonder if this info is relevant to stenting veins as well, and I wonder what medication they use for it.

You know, in thinking about this a little more, it's really too early for much else to be reported. Long term damage may be permanent (or won't be healed easily or quickly), and it's still too early for the majority of patients who have had the procedure to talk about whether it's stopped MS progres...

Good interview! That is such a disappointing review from Dr. Zamboni in the broadcast on his experience with those with severe disability that he's treated that they've only experienced "less fatigue and were less tired and more positive". Does that mean those of us with accumulated disabi...

I'm surprised people are disappointed. These results are GREAT! VERY exciting. This is sufficient to motivate more research without it sitting on a shelf indefinitely.

I think it's wonderful!

And you understand the decision may also depend on how well one is...it is easy to judge on others and easier to wait if one is relatively well (as I actually am). My personal choice will still be to pick up the chance of feeling better with a harmless ballooning in the meantime, and then get the r...

Berlin results completely disregarded because they used doppler, MRV results not as sensitive as BNAC doppler, wow is this all confusing. No wonder everything is questionable. None of the researchers seem to be agreeable on any of the equipment or scanning. And maybe this is exactly why we need to ...

Since interferon use can cause liver failure, I think there are a few more people out there who have also had liver transplants and have MS - I wonder how they're doing. Wouldn't that be a kicker if there are people who actually suffered liver failure BECAUSE of MS treatment and then went on to expe...

Yes, that is the article, thanks. I didn't know if it was peer reviewed or not, but then they actually show pics of the spinal fluid results so that seems black and white. Only 4 people but still, to have all four have such changes. No one speaks of the significance of the changes though, which is r...

Thanks everyone. I think the theory behind amalgam/mercury toxicity is that the amalgam constantly leaks mercury out through the grinding/eating process. I think believers think that accounts for the relapsing/remitting nature of MS as exposure continues in episodes throughout a person's life. Is th...

Looking 4 articles that refute the MS/amalgam/mercury connec

Hi all I have a naturopathic doctor who is sending me information that suggests a connection between MS and almagam fillings, or heavy metal toxicity. I lost all my old articles - does anyone have any really good research that refutes that connection between amalgams and MS? Thanks. I've never had a...
