Great comparison

I like your comparison!! Agreeing with you but also adding....... There are many things that can affect the body's insulin production. The end result is the same though. But the cause is still different. We don't have anything to cure diabetes because once again..we're to late. We are treating the r...

Hey Bromley!

What'd you think about my hammer comparison anyhow? Seriously, I agree with you and OddDuck about the subsets. Lets take that one further, within those subsets there are people..millions more subsets. Another analogy, lets say you can't take naproxin sodium(Aleve in U.S.), or it upsets your stomach....

Wouldn't a cure be a blessing from above..................I'd part with all my material objects for a cure for my family and I, remember all, it's not just us that have to deal with this day in and day out. Don't forget your families and greatly supportive friends who try to understand. Treez P.S. A...

I guess I have to get my two cents worth in. I'm not going to insert or paste all the Quotes finn posted in this thread, read those first please. They all make sense to me! My simplistic opinion, if it is worth anything is this: Consider this simple analogy: If you get hit in the head with a hammer,...

Sarah, Appreciate your input on diet. I know I'm going to make some major diet changes, just haven't decided exactly yet. And of course have not given up on the Antibiotic regimen yet, diet is just alot easier for me to implement. Sacramento hasn't gotten any closer! AND.................I'm anxiousl...

Liver

I certainly didn't mean to cause anxieties here!! I guess the biggest thing to remember is "every body is different" I did mean that to be two words. For comparison sake: If you are a heavy drinker, take maximum doses of any NSAID's frequently, and use an interferon med., you are generally...

positive

I must commend / compliment Dignan on the positive outlook of the future, and putting the recent failures behind us. I will add......who knows what "developments" may come to light in the nearer future than drug trials. All of us here appear to be more educated about MS than the average MS...

Welcome

Welcome to the site!

Super place........spend some time and browse around. I personally think you'll learn ALOT about MS here.

I'm from Michigan by the way, we're almost in each others back yard compared to some of the members here :)

Liver

That is exactly why the precriber of any Beta-interferons is supposed to keep an eye on your liver enzymes(blood test). Frequency could be as follows: Baseline before starting, after the first 3 months of treatment. Then.........if normal every 6 months. If elevated but still in safe levels, in anot...

Good thought!

Good thinking Aaron, One thing I noticed.....OddDuck pointed out the slow time to benefit from the Desipramine. A 24 week study group might just start to show benefits and then that would be the end of the study! Also, B12 as been shown to improve many MS aspects. Study was even done that showed B12...

I will attest to that. To clarify my meaning of this post, I know all too well how many different "treatments" have shown possible promise for countless MS sufferers. You just have to wonder how many work or is it just a "remitting" phase. I do believe I'm going to give the Swank...

Needleless injection

My question would be....what are you talking about injecting? Any or all of the CRABS? I don't know about all of them, I use betaseron. Site reactions are probably one of the most prevalent problems with interferons. That type of injection requires the actual meds to pass through upper skin layers. ...
