Re: FDA issues serious warning letters to Biogen and Teva
How does the MS Society justify placing their ads when the ads are false? Is this something members of the MS Society can influence? This is wrong and I think there needs to be more of us with MS and our supporters protesting in general about the issues of treatment, research, and how we are regarde...

Re: How many times have you had venoplasty for CCSVI?
I was treated more than once due to complications from the initial treatment. I didn't restenosis I occluded. So the restenosis figure might be higher than necessary if you are looking at true restenosis.

Re: How many time have you had venoplasty for CCSVI?
first time great results but suffered lijv occlusion and 85% scarring on rijv, tried to have lijv reballooned (failed) and rijv reballooned - restenosised 6weeks later. had venography to determine extent of damage and any options. lijv requires a bypass and rijv needs to wait until technology changes.

Re: Post if CCSVI treatment did NOT work for you
As someone who also live with MS, I too believe that established pathways for research need to be followed. The statement "The current hysterical response to CCSVI is no reason to circumvent these proven procedures" is missing the point that the MS researchers are avoiding doing proper res...

Re: Hot days worsen cognitive function in MS
I agree and feel that they decided they had to do something because now we seem to have a treatment for quality of life issues. They couldn't be bothered before and now they need to make up some time and get some drug treatments happening. I'm a little bitter and find these new research results an i...

Re: Are your hands and/or feet cold?
after my first treatment I had warm hands, feet and my core felt warm. Now, only when I have been lying down for at least an hour or so. Does this support a blood flow issue or would they still be able to attribute that to neurological cause?

Re: Hot days worsen cognitive function in MS
It sems to me that these issues have been around for a long time and I find it quite curious that the researchers are just starting to find out that we have difficulty walking, are afraid of falling, and heat affects us.

Re: MY J0URNEY INTO CCSVI
The fact that he is treating people with ms is wonderful. I do remember when ccsvi first hit the airwaves and it was the solution and then the problems with occlusions started to show up. Cece is right, it is a little early to say that this is the answer, for those of us with severe damage this is a...

Re: Artificial vein valve
It might be possible to adapt the valve or to design a new one for the jugular.
This could have a lot of potential.

Re: Vein Bypass
I was also told by an ear, nose and throat specialist that they would never touch me. My lijv is completely occluded and my rijv is 85% occluded. There are a couple of problems in Canada and one is that neuro's control the MS world. The other is that alot of the dr's don't actually believe that the j...

Re: DrSclafani answers some questions
Hi Dr.S
Happy belated Birthday
Have you heard of/or used double walled balloons that allow the blood to flow while ballooning? Is this something that could be used on those patients with one completely blocked jugular to prevent reflux?
Thanks

Re: 3rd ccsvi synergy calif.
I hope everything keeps flowing. Just be careful with the scans in Canada, here in Winnipeg the U/S tech told me they aren't reporting things they haven't seen before. This covers just about everything, I have a blockage of 85% which wasn't noted and the report says the vein is patent. Technically, ...
