PLEASE HELP ME BEFORE I LOSE IT!!

Post by itaska21 »

I was put on Vicodin(Lortab) for the horrible muscle spasms and joint pains primarily in my fingers and toes i've .for 2mos. since the heat and humidity hit houston 2mos. ago. I've been taking 3 daily and yesterday was my first day without. All my pain I"ve ever had came back with a vengeance, including the fatigue. I struggle getting up and down stairs. I REFUSE to take steroids! In my mind it seems to counteract our efforts to alleviat some of the pain we experience if we are retaining so much water. I plan to go back to Dr. wed. but always dread asking for more pain med. because of the stigmatism attached to it. They don't understand the pain associated with this condition which is no suprise to any of you. I have to work tomorrow, on paatients. How can I get through??

sorry to hear this itaska. remind me.. have you had a chance to try nutritional approach at all? i'm thinking d3 and magnesium sound pretty suspect here. for pain, spasm, and fatigue.

I wish I could have posted a straight answer. Please try nutritional approach including D3 and Magnesium as advised by jimmylegs. Further, I have tried following with some successes:
Try earthing yourself for some hours each day. See earthing for health websites.
Secondly, Take taking Tumeric. It contains cur-cumin which is an excellent anti-inflammatory agent.
Last, place a piece of cork in your Tummy button at night (Stupid suggestion but people with spasms have been trying it including my own self.
My best wishes for your good health.

What's tough in regards to taking the minocycline? I use it with treating Periodontal disease in varoius forms. Thankyou all for your words of wisdom. I went to the doc. today and had an intravenous cocktail of magnesium, vit.c, and vitamin b12. I do feel better :!:

If you have used it before and it's not tough, you should use it everyday. It has shown to be very beneficial in MS patients and it's pretty safe. My cousin takes 400mg a day and his lesions are decreasing. He started at 200mg a day and it was tough at first for him. After 6 months he increased to 400mg (200mg twice a day) and thats when he started feeling better. He does the antibiotic protocol (wheldon protocol) and has greatly improved. Glad you are improving, you might want to ask your doctor about Minocycline or research it yourself on this forum, especially if you have taken it before with no problem. Many people use this for pimples for years and years so it's very safe, cheap and effective.
