Any teachers out there

Hi!

I noticed in the uk a lot of teachers diagnosed with ms, my conclusion is being a teacher is very stressful.

Stress was a massive factor which led I believe to my diagnosis.

I dont know if teaching is stressful where you are but it would be interesting to know if it is. how many are members of this forum.

Just a yes would do.

I am a teacher and I have MS. I don't know whether stress was related to my condition, but I know that teaching is a very stressful occupation. It can be very rewarding, but it is always very stressful.

In addition to the stress teachers are exposed to lots of viruses and bacteria in heated and often poorly ventilated classrooms.

That is a good point that is. Especially Epstein Barr virus. By the way you dont happen to suffer from fatigue.

Just trying to dispel a theory of mine yeah!

Teachers in their first few years tend to be often sick as they are exposed to many bugs. Then teachers seem to develop a really good immunity. Kids sneeze and cough openly and generally share their bugs around. Generous of them!!!! Perhaps this leads to MS somehow - who knows??
