While it's a choice each and every MS patient has to make about medications, the DMDs have been greatly over rated on their effect on the patients who use them. I agree with you Harry. I don't discredit MSers for wanting to take these medicines if it is their choice but no doctor has the right to guilt/coerce a patient into using one of the DMD's if the patient does not want to use one.
