I was prescribed that medication. I had to modify how it was taken and the diarrhea went away. Instead of taking it twice daily, I took it once daily or once every other day. Once I started doing that, everything moved like it was supposed to without the diarrhea. Just thought I would spread the word about that.

Magnesium relieves constipation too. In fact, insufficient magnesium intake often causes constipation. It is an essential nutrient and is needed to relax muscles, produce energy and so much more. It is extremely well researched and much info is on this site, also.

Below is a quote from this site (http://www.calmnatural.com/constipation-relief)

"Jesse Lynn Hanley, M.D., in his book, 'Tired of Being Tired', proposes the following way to take Magnesium to relieve your constipation: "Take at bedtime. Begin with 200 milligrams magnesium oxide or magnesium citrate—you may increase the dosage in 200-milligram increments until your bowels move regularly. The dose for magnesium is individual, so begin low and increase the dosage as needed. Reduce the dosage if you experience loose bowels. Unlike irritating laxatives, magnesium does not create laxative dependency."

Just thought I would chime in. Using a SR formula magnesium that's not too hard on bowel. For spasticity.

I have opposite problem to constipation  . I found glycinate form good too as JL mentions above. Jigsaw lasts longer.
