It seems again that MS is an heterogeneous disease. An specific autoantibody appears in 12% of the patients, suggesting different pathogenesis.

that's only 12% isn't that indicative that those people have an infenction of epson barr and of course they'd have the anti for that disease.

Maybe someone could weigh in and clear this up

They do point out that "this difference in reactivity was restricted to the CSF as serum reactivity against RBPJ did not differ between patients and controls." Perhaps another marker in the breakdown of the BBB.

I must say I don't like anything about how the conclusion has been drawn. I'm sure EBV has a role in most cases but this work makes much too big a leap for me. Perhaps they can build on it and come up with something more tangible.
