I do believe that oxygen supply is indeed a factor, just like cellular nutrition. In fact, it is the counter side of the same medal.

If I sleep in a bed room with the central heating switched on, I know that symptoms will be worse - a lot worse - the next morning.

The best for me is to sleep with an open window, cool bed room, heating switched off.

I would be interested to hear whether any one has similar experience.

This is the CCSVI issue. Oxygen circulates in the blood, improve blood circulation and the brain gets "oxygenated". That's why a good swim (the crawl for me) is ideal for treating MS (great exercise without heating up the body and lots of deep breathing. Oxygen!) Groggy in the morning means the blood "stagnates" during the night, bringing on "nerve" symptoms. Poor oxygen uptake into the brain could also account for MS fatigue.

I'm pretty sure oxygen makes a lot of people feel good, regardless of whether or not they have MS...hence the popularity of oxygen bars.

It's better for anyone to sleep in a cool bedroom, faster to sleep and more restorative while you're there.

I have researched Hyperbaric O2 therapy in the states, it sounds like it would be really good for us as it's plain good for healing. However it's NOT covered by insurance (the great equalizer!) for MS. Plus, I don't believe we have large multi person ones anyplace except near where people are likely to get the bends en-masse.
I am in Chicagoland, and not too far away there is a Naval Training base, perhaps they have one that's large where the expense could be shared...healing my myelin? It's worth it...and I'd try about anything now.

I thought the benefits of HBOT were very well known in the MS community.

I have two friends with MS - one relies on regular HBOT, and the other tried it and did not like it.
No way will I try it. One of it's known side effects is on some aspects of vision. I have an incipient cataract in one eye, and there is just no way I will risk exacerbating it. Check it out first, and if you are not at risk then why not go for it.

I think it has failed all controlled trials and therefore only has anecdotal evidence that it helps MS.

During a question and answer session video on the CCSVI Alliance website, an IR remarked that it was very common for newly operated Angioplasty MS patients to remark that they felt "oxygenated". That's the same pleasure I experience after swimming. It's the blood circulating freely through the brain. Science begins with anecdotal evidence, an idea. Unfortunately non drug studies go unfunded. Anyway, my oxygen therapy is the swimming pool, but maybe I should try the Hyperbaric Therapy during the winter when I can't swim.

Hi everyone, I have tried the oxygenation route by renting three D size oxygen cylinders, enough if I recall well for at least 4 hrs. Result nada
I tried it after my CCSVI intervention that went very well but restenosed after 4 weeks.
I think CureorBust tells it all.
