EBV VIRUS AND MS :POTENTIAL OPPORTUNITIES FOR IMMUNOTHERAPY
Re: EBV VIRUS AND MS :POTENTIAL OPPORTUNITIES FOR IMMUNOTHER
This is a very good article. It supports what many have of us felt for a long. Everyone should read it.
Obviously, if it is right, we need to avoid making a gigantic leap to assuming that controlling EBV is the end game. Whilst the virus is endemic in the human population not everyone has MS. It becomes important to understand the mechanism resulting in debilitating symptoms. Having lived with a diagnosis for over 20 years and symptoms for longer, I don't think this important work is the last part of the picture. It's just a big step in the right direction. We have to live with consequences of infection. This research is a big plus if we believe are problems are metabolic but it may be more than one infection lies at the root of it all or another malfunction exists that allows EBV to opportunistically cause us so much trouble.
Do read the article. If it is too hard, get a yellow highlighter and just mark the words you understand and read what that sentence says.

Agreed, excellent article and yet not over-stating the theory.
This is from Pender though who we already know is researching EBV and B cell issues. Would be great to see other researchers pick this up and run with it.
