Give me some advice.

If it's on your mind and it has to do with multiple sclerosis in any way, post it here.

Give me some advice.

Post by gary9 »

Is there any study that shows how our natural immune behaves when we are on antibiotics? I am really interested in that.
Any comment will be appreciated.

Hi and welcome to TIMS!

It is my understanding that the majority of the immune system is in the gut and antibiotics kills off both bad and good bacteria present in the gut and should be avoided where possible (and should absolutely be taken when medically necessary). Personally I take both pre and probiotics and also consume home made fermented foods and drinks daily which contain large amounts of beneficial bacteria are thought to help support the immune system and ultimately provide good health.

Ultimately there is plenty of information on this topic on the web.
