Psoriasis?
Psoriasis?
I was diagnosed with MS ten months ago and put on tysabri. No relapses since the original event. But I've got a scaly spot on the 4th finger of both hands. It's on the lateral side of the second knuckles. I know psoriasis is autoimmune like MS. Could these spots be related to MS?
Re: Psoriasis?
This would not be due to MS. The best Dr. to see for what is on your fingers is a Dermatologist.
Re: Psoriasis?
The body gives 'signals' when it is not functioning correctly, psoriasis is possibly a common indicator of this.
According the the all knowing web:
"while the exact cause of psoriasis isn't fully understood, scientists believe psoriasis is the result of several factors, including the immune system. When you have psoriasis, your immune system is overactive. This creates inflammation inside the body, which is a cause of the symptoms you see on the skin."
...but ultimately at this time, nobody knows for sure.
Just a guess on my part but nutrition may come into play.
