Thanks. Mono virus is the Epstein-Barr virus (EBV), and I would say that nobody anymore doubts about its involvement in MS.

On the other hand, there must is something more. As they say "The study shows that a protein produced by the Epstein-Barr virus, called EBNA2, binds to multiple locations along the human genome that are associated with these seven diseases". The thing is that virus proteins like EBNA2 produce specific oligoclonal bands, and some patientes do not have it.

It is perfectly possible that there is more than one kind of MS. Some people thinks there are even three different kinds (See for example https://www.futuremedicine.com/doi/10.2 ... -2017-0035)
